A calm, contemporary living space within this New England & Cape Cod–inspired home by Studio212 Ltd, opening seamlessly to the garden by Victoria Truman Garden Design. The large sliding doors dissolve the boundary between inside and out, flooding the interior with daylight and framing views of layered planting. The scheme combines understated comfort with refined detailing: Sofas from Camerich anchor the lounge in soft neutrals. A round coffee table with nested design adds sculptural balance and function. The ceiling is defined by a Lira Lighting circular pendant and a statement Eichholtz chandelier, creating a layered lighting atmosphere. A tactile New King carpet grounds the composition in warmth and texture. Together, architecture, landscape, and furnishings create a sophisticated lifestyle setting — blending comfort, elegance, and a strong connection to nature.

The St George house was a project with a fairly restricted budget which we needed to maximise to transform the space. Structural changes were kept to a minimum, moving one doorway and removing one wall. The property had been stripped of character and charm so the priority was to restore this to the Victorian home. Old chipboard flooring was removed and replaced with reclaimed timber flooring from a local reclamation yard. Reclaimed boards have a more interesting grain and richer colour which deepens over time. Not only were they aesthetically more pleasing, they are the environmentally friendly solution, particularly when using a local salvage yard. The vintage theme continued with the furniture sourcing - in the dining area a lovely big extendable Gplan dining table, Ercol's windsor quaker dining chairs and an old church pew. The livingroom was completed with an elegant collection of vintage finds and a large velvet sofa. Feature walls were created to balance the proportions of each room and mirrors radiate light around the space. (See our Instagram page for before & after photos of the St George project)

We are currently seeking client consent to share completed project images across various online platforms. https://biid.org.uk/resources/permission-use-photography-what-you-need-know We cater to a significant number of private clients who opt not to have their project images shared online. Nonetheless, we are pleased to share our portfolio upon request, specifically featuring projects for which we have obtained client consent.#### The project's scope was to use existing furniture items and enhance the room by creating more light and space planning. Two generations used this family home, and they wanted to keep the feel of the space the same. They only wanted to repaint the area, bring some colour coordination, and create more free space for circulation around the open-plan dining and lounge area. Here are some keywords that can describe the project briefly: color palette, mood, downsizing, refreshing, and reusing.
