Stanford Wood Cottage extension and conversion project by Absolute Architecture. Photos by Jaw Designs, Kitchens and joinery by Ben Heath.

OWN LONDON has completed a sensitive two-year renovation of a five-storey listed townhouse in London’s Knightsbridge, blending historic character with modern family living.
The design preserves original features such as grand staircases, sash windows, and ornate mouldings, while introducing contemporary finishes like polished plaster, bold marble, and custom joinery.
Two identical master suites on the first and second floors each have private terraces, bathrooms, and dressing areas, one clad in antique mirrors, the
other in suede panelling. The third-floor children’s bedrooms feature matching trundle beds and bespoke carpets for comfort and style.
The ground floor offers elegant living and dining spaces. The lower ground floor includes a relaxed family room with banquette seating, staff quarters, and a guest powder room detailed with reeded marble. This level opens to a private courtyard framed by brick arches and mirrored walls, creating a secluded oasis.
OWN LONDON expertly marries heritage and contemporary design, crafting a timeless home for modern family life.

Three-bedroom terraced house in new development. The client's brief was to create an interior for the ground floor that felt fresh and contemporary. Custom-made furniture and accessories offer both quality and personality. The built-in tv/ fire unit incorporated nicely displayed shelving with soft concealed led lighting, providing a stylish focal point in the sitting room.

This is the 'comfy lounge' - in contrast to the family room this one is calm, it is peaceful and it is not a place for toys!
The neutral tones and textures in here are a delight and the colour is subtle, shaded and tonal rather than bold and pop like. You can kick of your shoes and grab a cuppa in here thats for sure.

Using a versatile au courant palette of muted greys and shimmering argentates, injected with accents of vivid colour, Hill House have created an utterly timeless interior, perfect for lavish entertaining and serious relaxation, in equal measure.
