Love the warmth of a fireplace as well as different color paint on walls in the same room. I (Jeff ) loves fireplaces gas or real wood. Not sure living room would support it. I think some fake fire inserts are not my preference

This wood color is perfect! Jeff says, nice rich color. I have trouble visualizing with the substantial commitment made with the coloring of the vinyl floors. I would love to see what color will come forth when I clean my grandfathers 110 year old Globe Warnicke barrister bookcases in the office! Adding that color and the light colored piano makes me concerned about adding yet another color wood in there, but that is one room that can be dark and masculine. I worry about overdoing the wood and making room feel closed in in the living room.

Here’s a perfect example of the wood ceiling that I like. Jeff loves the way the height of this ceiling is accentuated by the wood pattern. Again having trouble visualizing. Ideas for dealing with ceiling fan and built in lighting?

Have always loved the black trimmed windows. Is it possible to do it with some sort of adhesive strips? Jeff says black is hard to keep clean and with the uniform white throughout house with brand new windows. Jeff thinks dealing with windows with drapes makes more sense and easier changes down the road. Jeff says before replacing PO’s curtains decide if side curtains should go any higher!
