A great use of a compact area, good mix of straight lines & freeform . This back yard is so many things. It looks like a nice combination of happy & calming. At night I bet it looks very romantic.

In addition to being a green component, the water feature creates a lovely ambience for the backyard and nearby rooms. "The house is close to a floating bridge, which is loud," says Castanes. I LOOOOOVE the plants & vines all over the place. This backyard patio reminds of temples hidden by lush vegetation deep in a jungle somewhere. :)
The grass looks like it lays down wavy/flat. Maybe it doesn't have to be mowed?
