NJW ConstructionKarli Moore Photography - Kitchen expanded into an adjoining hall way, so refrigerator wall movement of approximately 4' allowed the inclusion of a center island with special features of seating and cook book storage. The cabinet just beyond the double oven serves as a hidden dropping zone, as well as, broom storage. Floor to ceiling cherry cabinets compliment the red oak character grade flooring by allowing the darker floor grain coloration to match the cabinet stain itself. Cabinetry accessories abound to create function to this expanded beauty.
Esslinger Design CompanyCabinets were updated with an amazing green paint color, the layout was reconfigured, and beautiful nature-themed textures were added throughout. The bold cabinet color, rich wood finishes, and warm metal tones featured in this kitchen are second to none!

Amy Pearson DesignRelocating to Portland, Oregon from California, this young family immediately hired Amy to redesign their newly purchased home to better fit their needs. The project included updating the kitchen, hall bath, and adding an en suite to their master bedroom. Removing a wall between the kitchen and dining allowed for additional counter space and storage along with improved traffic flow and increased natural light to the heart of the home. This galley style kitchen is focused on efficiency and functionality through custom cabinets with a pantry boasting drawer storage topped with quartz slab for durability, pull-out storage accessories throughout, deep drawers, and a quartz topped coffee bar/ buffet facing the dining area. The master bath and hall bath were born out of a single bath and a closet. While modest in size, the bathrooms are filled with functionality and colorful design elements. Durable hex shaped porcelain tiles compliment the blue vanities topped with white quartz countertops. The shower and tub are both tiled in handmade ceramic tiles, bringing much needed texture and movement of light to the space. The hall bath is outfitted with a toe-kick pull-out step for the family’s youngest member!
Kitchen Design ConceptsWe originally remodeled this 1939 Preston Hollow home in 2004, but after 15 years it needed a bit of an aesthetic update for our homeowners. Enter our Revive process. We take a kitchen (or bathroom) where the overall layout is already functional, but it still seems to be looking dated. We bring it back to life with new colors and some materials to really amp up the look.
The homeowners wanted a "lighter and brighter" space which we achieved by painting the perimeter cabinets a crisp grey/white color and having 2cm Bianco Carrara Honed Marble counter installed on the perimeter as well as a majority of the splash. We did remove one open shelf cabinet and installed floating shelves in its place to create a fun accent wall. There we installed Handmade 8×8 Cement Tiles in Laurent Gray from Renaissance Tile.
Davina DesignsThis late 80's bungalow was no longer serving the needs of the family of 4. We transformed the outdated galley kitchen into an open concept floor plan, complete with a large island, walk-in pantry and gourmet appliances. We turned the once closed off spaces into a place that family and friends would love to gather.

Brad Cox, Architect, Inc.This generous kitchen was built for entertaining! As this ADU functions more like a pool house than a residence (and storage requirements are less important), the clients opted for open shelving and lots of windows in place of upper cabinetry. Stucco, wood and metal elements are features in Santa Barbara and Mediterranean styles.

Our clients had previously carried out a lot of work on their old warehouse building to create an industrial feel. They always disliked having the kitchen & living room as separate rooms so, wanted to open up the space.
It was important to them to have 1 company that could carry out all of the required works. Design Interiors own team removed the separating wall & flooring along with extending the entrance to the kitchen & under stair cupboards for extra storage. All plumbing & electrical works along with plastering & decorating were carried out by Design Interiors along with the supply & installation of the polished concrete floor & works to the existing windows to achieve a floor to ceiling aesthetic.
Tim designed the kitchen in a bespoke texture lacquer door to match the ironmongery throughout the building. Our clients who are keen cooks wanted to have a good surface space to prep whilst keeping the industrial look but, it was a priority for the work surface to be hardwearing. Tim incorporated Dekton worktops to meet this brief & to enhance the industrial look carried the worktop up to provide the splashback.
The contemporary design without being a handless look enhances the clients’ own appliances with stainless steel handles to match. The open plan space has a social breakfast bar area which also incorporate’s a clever bifold unit to house the boiler system which was unable to be moved.
