DC Interiors & RenovationsFor the Parlor, we did a beautiful yellow; the color just glows with warmth; gray on the walls, green rug and red cabinetry makes this one of the most playful rooms I have ever done. We used red cabinetry for TV and office components. And placed them on the wall so the cats can climb up and around the room and red shelving on one wall for the cat walk and on the other cabinet with COM Fabric that have cut outs for the cats to go up and down and also storage.
Robin MutoThis formal living room is located in East Avenue mansion in a Preservation District. It has beautiful architectural details and I choose to leave the chandelier in place. I wanted to use elegant and contemporary furniture and showcase our local contemporary artists including furniture from Wendell Castle. The wing chair in the background was in the house and I choose to have a slip cover made for it and juxtapose it next to a very contemporary Wendell Castle side table that has an amazing crackle finish

mintBuilt-in bookcases were painted, refaced and the background papered with cocoa grasscloth. This holds the clients extensive collection of art and artifacts. Orange and blue are the inspiring colors for the design.
