We had Barlow Architecture provide design and drawings for our 3,600 SF craftsman project in Portland, Oregon. Chris was fantastic to work with, the house has so many amazing architectural details and an incredibly functional layout. Construction went like a breeze and 6 months into living in the house we couldn’t be happier with how well it’s turned out. We highly recommend Chris.

We had the pleasure of working with Chris Barlow of Barlow Architecture Studio. We were new to the home remodel/addition process and Chris helped ease our concerns. He was very easy to work with, very open to ideas, patient and had a good read on what was important to both of us. We went back with a few questions and he was very open to adjusting our plans, as needed. Ultimately he took our existing 1400 square foot home and helped add 1000 square feet, with the addition of a master suite, office/playroom and a huge, open great room. Everyone we worked with was impressed with his work. You can be confident that he is not only analytical, but creative and passionate. I have referred him to a handful of friends and would not hesitate to work with him again in the future!

We hired Barlow Architecture Studio as the architect for our loft addition. Chris was able to meet our needs from a plan and design standpoint. He was exceptionally helpful as a guide through the City permitting process, which I hear could be a painful process. Our general contractor also expressed that Chris was prompt and easy to work with during the early stages of our remodel project. We are very happy with Chris' quick turnaround time, calm demeanor, and attention to detail. He was reliable and easy to work with, and I would not hesitate to contact him for our next remodel project.

We were fortunate to have Chris Barlow as the architect on a large project including expanding MBR/BA & adding a covered porch outside of it, expanding BR/BA below, remodeling dalite bsmt. FR, bath and small kitchen. Chris is creative with space, understands what we wanted, is fun to work with, and combined with the awesome work by Eric Fowler (NW Heritage Renovations), we are so happy with the results! Chris sees with an artists eye, not just an architect's challenge. We highly recommend him!

Chris completely nailed the design we were asking for in our new home. His attention to detail was impeccable. Our builder commented that the architectural plans were one of the best they have seen for accuracy and attention to detail. Chris completed the design for our kitchen remodel. What sold us on his vision and work for us is that he solved a design issue the previous three folks who looked at our project could not. The plans were submitted on time and were fairly priced. We highly recommend Chris for your design work.

Chris provided the architecture services for my house remodel. He was very prompt throughout the entire process and made sure that all details were on point. We had a number of requests for him and he made everything go smoothly. The project is now done and it exceeded our expectations. We were confident it would turn out well as he was the director.
