I had a bunch of deferred maintenance and a couple of improvements I wanted to make to my house, but I had been procrastinating until I discovered that I had dry-rot in a huge window in my living room. Not knowing if this was the type of project BMW would take on, I contacted them anyway, because three different friends of mine had used BMW for projects in their homes, and they all raved about the company. Mike, the owner, came out and discussed my project with me, and later brought out all the subs to meet with me. This ensured that everyone working on the project understood what I wanted and got all of their questions answered (BMW is the only contractor I've worked with who did this, and I think it made a big difference). I was afraid that large window would have to be replaced, but the crew was able to pull it out, replace just the rotted wood, and get it back in place in less than day; that was a significant relief. Mike and the project supervisor kept me informed and involved throughout the project, and this prevented any surprises. The work was completed in a timely manner, and when a couple things did not look right to me, Mike brought the relevant sub back in and corrected the issues, without hesitation (problems happen; what is important is how your contractor handles them, and Mike was great. He really wants you to be happy with the project). I highly recommend BMW Builders to anyone considering a home remodeling project, and I would not hesitate to use them again, myself.

Mike Wynne/BMW Builders and team were hired by us on two occasions. Our home is historic-in-nature, given it was built by a known architect, William Kesling, in 1946, Pre-Mid-Century Modern, and it was imperative to us that we maintain/preserve our home accordingly. In October 2008, BMW performed a structural restoration/remodel of the north half of our home, which included completely rebuilding 1.5 baths and a master bedroom closet, significant re-plastering and custom carpentry/woodwork ($50,000-$100,000 job). In March 2014, BMW performed a kitchen expansion/remodel on the south half of our home and a major structural restoration of our entire home and detached garage, which included upgrading electrical, plumbing/sewer and telco/technology, and, new door and windows, lighting, roofing and concrete flatwork (more than $100,000 job). As a result, in April 2015, we were selected by Save Our Heritage Organization (SOHO) as recipients of a 2015 People in Preservation award; they were impressed by the care and detail that was put into the sensitive addition to our known architect’s designed home. The remodels BMW performed were completed on-time, within reason, especially given the number of change orders we imposed, and with the upmost degree of precision/quality, honesty/trustworthiness and integrity/professionalism. BMW’s front office team is the absolute best; kind/personable, on-top-of-things and helping to make challenging situations less-challenging. Further, BMW’s sub-contractors are second-to-none; an extension of BMW’s team. We highly recommend Mike Wynne/BMW Builders and team and would not hesitate to hire them again!

Mike and his team are true professionals who take pride in their work. Honest with expectations of cost and time to complete a project. We worked with them for a complete remodel and addition of our 60 year old home. Mike's group was always pleasant to work with, patient in explaining concepts and decisions. HIs office was always available to call if we were looking for a contact and referral for design ideas and decisions. We have had the pleasure of working with Mike Wynne and his BMW team on several home project over the past several years. Actually, we have used BMW Builders several times, and have been extremely pleased. The first time was to build a wall unit in the living room. Most people think it's always been there; the work is that good. A totally different kind of project was a complete exterior refinishing of the house -- a new roof, new gutters, replacement screens and shutters, repainting and stucco repair, a new driveway, a gorgeous addition of stonework to the front, etc. The way BMW worked with us to implement and improve our vision, their excellent communication and coordination of many subcontractors (and the quality of their work) are some of the reasons I never hesitate to recommend BMW builders. The most recent project, indicated below, was designing and building a new custom wall unit for the family room, which has made this area much more useful and attractive.

BMW builders did our kitchen remodel, pushing out the back of the house, total gut of the kitchen with everything new. Mike and the team were great to work with, on time, on budget. All their ideas were right on, great recommendations for where to pick tile, granite and .appliances. The cabinet maker was great to work with listening to our needs and giving ideas. Same for the tile man and painter. The foreman was great with our pets and made sure everyone shut gates so they wouldn't get out. Fantastic experience!

I have used Mike at least three times in the last five years and he and his crew never disappoint me. He has the BEST subs and he is responsible and his work gets done on time expertly!
