BonTon (French for "Fashionable and/or elegant in manner or style. Something regarded as fashionably correct.) is American Made art tile crafted in Minneapolis MN. Made in the USA, shipped around the world. The direction of our work covers many aspects of style. Including: Art Deco, Art Nuevo, Contemporary and Traditional. The inspiration for BonTon tile usually starts with an observation of nature, or from the surrounding environment. Artisan made tile offers you a three dimensional freedom in design capability unlike no other. What can we make for you ? BonTon was created to design and manufacture artistic handmade tile by old world methods. We custom create one of a kind artistic tile for commercial and residential applications. We take a "no boundaries" approach to the handmade tile business. As I always say, "If you can dream it, we can make it". My goal as an artist is to create beautiful handmade tile that enhances the space it occupies. My condo was flooded by my upstairs neighbor. I took the opportunity to update/upgrade my kitchen. Part of the upgrade required purchasing additional tiles from BonTon. The base color of the new tiles matched perfectly to the original tiles which were purchased probably 10 years prior. The colors are quirky and fun and fit in perfectly with my vintage, modern condo. Mary was always responsive when I had questions and she delivered the product when she said she would.

Tile Fusion

I was commissioned to install a custom kitchen backslash using Bon Ton designs material. It couldn't have gone any easier. The material was ready when they said it would. And working on the jobsite with the homeowner was a breeze. Of coarse i was a little nervous cutting the custom tiles, but that proved to be just like any other day at work. I bought tiles that my wife fell in love with from a magazine. I called BonTon, spoke with the owner who was incredibly helpful and nice. We used the tiles for a backsplash in a new kitchen that we had installed. The tiles were perfect as was BonTon's service. I would highly recommend BonTon as they delivered exactly what was ordered.

I was remodeling my kitchen and wanted unique tile artwork for the walls. I found Bon Ton Designs on the web. I worked with the artist (Mary Anderson) to create a tailored plan using her cherry branch tile concept. The mosaic is about four feet tall going up the wall surrounding the cabinets and also on the kitchen sink window area. The tile mosaic looks stunning installed on the wall. It makes the entire space look gorgeous and the tile has vibrant colors. Working with Mary has been an great experience and I would highly recommend her work to anyone looking for something truly outstanding and stunningly gorgeous.

I love the hands-on personal attention to detail Mary Anderson provided to my client and me. She never hesitated to take calls and follow through with requests. We love the-one-of-a-kind tile splash she created for us; it's truly the "wow" factor of the kitchen!

Our client referred us to BonTon. As with most new vendors we were nervous about an unknown vendor. Mary of BonTon was great to work with on our project. Very good communication throughout. The actual product significantly exceeded expectations. Will use again in the future.

We love BonTon. Her perceptive analysis of our needs and her thorough knowledge of her artistic medium provided us with a colorful and delightful dimension to our remodeled kitchen. The quality of the finished tile is superb. The timing and execution of the process went without a hitch so scheduling was no problem. Even our contractor was impressed. As is the case with many creative people, Mary is strong in creativity but not so good at accounting. We will contract with her again.

Backsplash for kitchen. Mary was awesome to work with on this project. We had the benefit of living in the Twin Cities so we went in to the studio looked at the other BonTon creations, we told Mary what we were looking for and she helped us with the entire process of the project. She even made tiles that were unique to just us. We also found her prices reasonable. The tiles are beautiful and look great in the house. I would work again with BonTon again in a heart beat.

I've been trying to get cool switch plate covers for my kitchen for a couple of years. The pre-made ones were not what I wanted and the custom made ones were outrageously expensive, starting at $75 each. Recently, while surfing around Houzz, I saw these beautiful tiles and surprise! Bon-Ton was in my area! I called Mary and made an appointment. Her tiles are even more beautiful in person than on screen! Very cool designs and great colors. Mary was very gracious and accommodating of my wishes...which was to get 8 custom made switch plate covers in about 10 days. She had some great ideas and even though my project was very small (>$500), she was pleased to do it. Mary is also a very compassionate dog person, which is a lucky strike extra in my book! (ask her about her St. Patrick tile. It's very cool!) My switch plate covers really complete the kitchen and I've gotten rave revues on them. Bon-Ton's pricing is very reasonable and I'd highly recommend them.

I spent a lot of time looking at big tile companies and on line for backsplash for my kitchen. I really couldn't find anything that tied my red counter, yellow walls and wood cabinetry but I knew what I wanted. Finally on Houzz I came across some designs - I think the first was red poppies on a yellow field and I thought - bingo. I tracked down the creator - Mary Anderson of Bon Ton Designs. She created a ceramic mural for my backsplash to spec and I'm thrilled. She sent me a slide show of the process with updates and I sent her the final installed version. My contractor's face when I told him all the tiles would be numbered was priceless. But it turned out to be pretty straightforward. Only lost one tile in transport and one in installation and had several spares. The installation was less than a day. We're thrilled with the very custom results.

I am a tile contractor who has refered various clients to Bonton for handmade custom tile to be designed and created- which my company then installed. In evey case my clients were more than satisfied with their concept idea becoming reality from what Mary at Bonton created. Also, in all cases Mary completed the projects on time and in budget!
