We had a complete home remodel and renovation done over the course of 9 months and had overall a great experience. I was very hands on, but the cooperation with the trades and job site manager especially was very good. At the end of the job a few loose ends had to be tied up but overall I was very happy with the quality of the work and would use them again.

Distinctive Remodeling Solutions, Inc. completed our Alpharetta addition and remodel in January of 2015. From the initial stage of the project through completion, the entire team, led by project manager, Kane Hawkins, was fantastic to work with. Their work ethic and timeliness was impeccable. The contractors that they entrusted to complete each aspect of the project were professional, talented and respectful. The scope of the project was detailed in writing prior to the start and included details such as dates of projected completion for each stage, line item budgets for each projected need, and stages of payments. Mark and his team did an amazing job on our home renovation! We enjoy the results each and every day! Since our completion of the initial renovation, the Distinctive Team has gone on to remodel our pool house (completed Fall 2016) including the addition of a small kitchenette & bathroom. Our sentiments were echoed with this recent project. The pool house remodel results are outstanding! We completely remodeled three bathrooms with Distinctive Remodeling Solutions. Our experience with everyone from Distinctive was enjoyable and professional to work with. In addition, the work that was completed was done with superior craftsmanship. Basement finishing. Rerouted plumbing and redesigned space to a comidate movie theater bar and game room. They were very thorough and inventive. Completed project on time and on budget. Workmanship was excellent and subs were professional and and did quality work.

Bathroom remodel Mark's proposal included all aspects of the project. Kane, the project manager, did a great job keeping us informed about the project and any unforeseen issues and was always very pleasant even if we had a problem that need to be resolved. The project took longer than estimated because of problems with the tiling job and scratches on the travertine floors. All issues were resolved and the project is complete. Would recommend you do some preliminary investigation of fixture finishes and bathtub options prior to your first visit with Mark. The more detailed information you provide upfront the closer the estimate will be. We had surprises because of fixture finishes (polished nickel versus brushed nickel or chrome) and the bath tub. Ask about all costs that may not be shown or expected (sales tax and shipping). The project is complete now and we love the new look.

We interviewed several different contractors for our renovation. We chose Distinctive Remodeling Solutions because Mark, the owner, provided us with the most upfront information and provided us with an initial vision of the direction we would go in. We also had an opportunity to meet with the kitchen designer from Inspirations and the interior designer from MODA before making a commitment which was critical. Their joint vision helped us to move forward with Mark. The subcontractors were marvelous and designed us a home that went beyond our imagination and one that we could never do on our own! They understood quickly our ‘likes’ when we didn’t even know what they were ourselves and came up with a design that exceeded our expectations. We are very pleased with our decision to work with Distinctive Remodeling Solutions and would definitely use them again.

In 2009, we bought a foreclosure that I frequently introduced as "a home where you need alot of vision". After living in the space for a year or so, we knew exactly the functional "must-haves" that our main floor ranch home required for our family. However, where we seriously faltered was in that vision. We quickly learned that design was not our forte. The main family room itself was long with a sunroom overlooking a pool and golf course, a dated double-sided fireplace, an unproportionally small kitchen and various types of flooring running all through the main floor. The foyer, living, dining and powder rooms needed wider doorways and the laundry room, though roomy, didn't have a good flow with two constantly-on-the-go children. We approached several high quality remodelers, searching for vision, high quality, professionalism and affordability. We chose Distinctive Remodeling. Mark Buelow's immediate attention to our concerns and requirements as well as his ability to walk us through our 'amorphous' vision gave us confidence that we could make this foreclosure the future home we knew it could be. From design to build, the Distinctive Remodeling team was outstanding in service delivery. The project lasted 6 months, with several logistical challenges (ours). However, the time went quickly. I cannot say enough about Kane Hawkins, the "everything" project manager. He kept the project's big and little pieces moving, answered all our questions promptly, and addressed every concern--which kept our family sane in the process. Theresa Minkoff and Stelian Sipos from Moda, Michelle Taylor Bloodworth from Bell, Dale Erridge from Intown Design and Juan Castaneda from JC Lonestar provided superior service. A huge credit goes to Theresa and Kyle Sturtevant for working to make the fireplace an interesting central point--on all four sides. In addition to quality, these teams provided safety as they negotiated the spring and summer with kids just about everywhere on the premises. For a busy mom, this peace of mind was huge. By the end, we were not only excited to start "living" the remodeled space, but that we stayed reasonably with our budget amidst some of the unavoidable interim changes and upgrades. But the real proof to the success of this project lies in our excitement even a year later. Steve Lindstrom and Mark presented three initial designs for the kitchen based on a magazine cover that caught our eye. After hearing our feedback, they came back with exactly what we needed. So as I host visiting family over the recent holidays, the now open family room area and two-island kitchen (the larger seats 6 comfortably) made a high bustle, potentially high-stress time very happy and pleasurable for the second year in a row. Our home is now the official place to gather all year round. Not only that, but I actually enjoy cooking...daily. I think one of the highest compliments for me personally was when my kids said that they would rather go home and cook a meal with me than go to their favorite restaurant. If you know me, you are laughing. Improbable , but true. Even my mother-in-law says she's shocked. Kudos to Distinctive Remodeling for making our family's vision a reality...and then some!

We just completed our second home remodeling project with Distinctive Remodeling and in both cases we are very pleased with the work and the people they use. I highly recommend Mark and his foreman Kane! Together with the pick of the best designers and products, they transformed our very old and outdated kitchen masterfully! They beat the time schedule, and every aspect of the job was done perfectly...and if it needed tweaking they did it! The absolute BEST part of this company is they LISTEN to what YOU want or help you find what YOU want! I was so pleased by the results that every time I walk into my kitchen I smile and thank all the artisans who participated in my dream kitchen! Can't say enough about this company!
