Waterson Build is located in Rye on the Mornington Peninsula and is a family run residential and commercial construction business that specialise in architecturally designed, custom built and sustainable homes. The owner, Ryan Waterson has always wanted to build. It started with BMX jumps in his parent’s backyard and progressed to building and selling his first residential development in Bendigo before he was 21 years old. Ryan grew up crafting his trade on historical homes before relocating to Melbourne and working on architectural developments. Waterson Build began after a move to the Mornington Peninsula over ten years ago. Ryan obtained both his Domestic Builders Licence and Commercial Builders Licence and has established himself as a quality custom builder, known for his attention to detail and collaborative approach. Ryan personally works with his clients from the first consultation to final handover. Since building that first investment in Bendigo, Ryan has constructed and designed many homes on the Mornington Peninsula, developing a solid team of professionals and trades that work as a cohesive group. He is passionate about quality finishes and takes inspiration from contemporary coastal styles and working with sustainable, innovative materials. Ryan is a Registered Domestic and Commercial builder, qualified carpenter, concreter and a member of the HIA. A qualified Greensmart professional, Ryan can ensure your home is built using the most sustainable building techniques and help you achieve 6 star energy ratings. Waterson Build can also assist you in designing your home and we work with excellent design partners to take these initial concepts through to finished drawings.

From the beginning of the job Ryan was easy to work with. Together we decided on a style and format for my new home. We settled into a great working relationship, discussing all aspects of the build. Planning ahead but not to much to overload me with decisions. His staff were also easy to work with and showed great building knowledge. The site was always kept clean. People often commented on that! Ryan was available to me to discuss anything when I needed to. He finished the house under the contract time which was a bonus for me.

Ryan Waterson was the first builder I felt comfortable with after consultation. He listened to our needs and our budget and was helpful from the start.My renovation is amazing. The build itself went smoothly and Ryan and his team were always respectful to myself and my family( we were still living in site). My questions were always answered and no question was too silly. I would highly recommend Waterson Builders. My home is absolutely perfect for us and I love showing it off.

We hired Waterson Builders & Design to build our new holiday house on the Mornington Peninsula. Needless to say we commenced with three quotes and talking with three builders to meet our budget. From the start Ryan was determined to get the price right for the build we wanted. He worked diligently prior to us signing up to source products and alternatives to meet our budget expectations. This was the start of a great relationship from the start through the hiccups as there always are, to the little "extras" to make our project perfect. Ryan was a pleasure to work with as was all his sub trades. He exceeded all our expectations and delivered ON TIME and ON BUDGET - amazing for a builder really! Would highly recommend Waterson Builders & Design!

My husband and I had five interviews with builders to find the right one to build our home We came across Waterson Builders and Design and new from our first meeting he was the one. He was open to discussion about all aspects of the build. He gave us great input re design, materials, aspect, layout and size. He couldn't have been more tolerant with our "little changes along the way and was always available to discuss these. We found Ryan Waterson to be an extremely honest, hands on, hard working and genuine builder who gave us exactly what we wanted and on budget Our new home is a delight to live in and has been built to a the high standard we expected in regard to all areas of the build and the finishes, We couldn't be any happier with the choice we made by employing Waterson Builders and Design Jacki and Ian Jenkinson

Our experience with Waterson Builders was all positive. Dealing directly with the owner of the business (Ryan) gave us complete confidence for the duration of the project. Ours was a major renovation and extension requiring a skilled, experienced builder to merge the old with the new. Living in Melbourne and renovating in Sorrento made the site meetings extremely important for us and for Ryan. The project was professionally managed coming in on time and budget. The trades all worked well together to create a home that is light and bright and a joy to live in. We have recommended Waterson Builders to friends and had no hesitation doing so.

We hired Ryan after having him recommended by a friend. From our first meeting with Ryan we felt that he was very much on the same page as us and willing to go that bit further than previous builders we had met with. They organized everything from the permits to the fire assessments and was more than willing to help get the project up and running. Ryan and his team were very efficient, well presented and would always have time to discuss design ideas and we could draw on his experience when required. The quality throughout the build was second to none and it seems like Ryan has a highly skilled team of contractors as we had some dealings with his plumber, electrician and floor sander who were all great. We could not recommend Ryan and his team highly enough. From the very start to completion it was a pleasure dealing with Ryan and we would not hesitate to use him in the future.
