We were most pleased with the work Classic Home Improvements did on our home. They completed a 620 sq ft unfinished space and transformed it into a homey space for our overnight guests. The crew was professional, they listened to our needs throughout the project. From the horror stories we had heard, we were pleased that they delivered on their commitment both in terms of the quality of the work and within the timelines and budget we agreed to. They were able to incorporate a few minor changes that came up during the project without jeopardizing the completion time frame. Their motto was to ensure their client was happy at the end of the project and we were. We have and will continue to recommend Classic Home Improvements to others.

We were very happy with the results of the bathroom renovations done by Classic Home Improvements. At our first meeting, Barry spent all the time we needed for us to get information about every aspect of the project as well as answers to every one of our questions. From there, we had excellent and courteous tradespeople doing the work and taking care of challenges as they arose. They made the process very easy and ensured I had all the documents and permits the condo strata required. We received a quote with all of the details and options clearly laid out. The renovation team communicated very clearly and were prompt when responding to my questions. Once the demo work began, the bathroom quickly came together with feedback each day on the progress. Everyone who came to work at our home was extremely polite, pleasant, ensured minimal disruption to our daily life, and left the work area clean. I contacted Classic Home Improvements in August and by the middle of November my Master Bathroom remodel was complete. This company is professional and prompt. We had a quote within a few days and demo work started within a weekly that. We enjoyed working with them as they communicated clearly and often. Not only did they help adapt my plans to be optimally best for my requirements, the execution was practically flawless. Everyone was on time, always respectful and polite, scheduling of contractors was a breeze, everyone respected the Covid-19 restrictions and requirements in place. They kept the work site clean and dust was relatively little. We gutted the whole room down to the dry wall. Removed 2 huge mirrors, old tub, old shower, counters and replace all with new modern look. I love the results and everyday we walking into o9ur new walk-in shower with underfloor heating and feel like we are in a spa. Classic Home made my vision a reality. Thank you for such a professional job and I would highly recommend this group for any remodeling you are contemplating. We will be contacting you again for any future projects we may dream up.

I was very impressed with this company. I had my main bathroom completely gutted and remodeled. A year later I still get excited about my beautiful bathroom. It is now the prettiest room in the house. I was especially pleased with the professionalism of Tony the carpenter. This company is top notch.

I decided it was time to transform our pokey en suite bathroom into an airy high design one. A return to Classic Home Improvements to do this work was obvious given our satisfaction with the major renovations they did when we purchased our house in 2015. They gutted and re-built our kitchen and oversaw repainting the entire house. Therefore we have extensive experience with them.Barry is very helpful at quote time. He matches your budget with feasability and is never shy about reining you in on your more outrageous (read 'expensive') ideas. He keeps the quality look while restraining the price. We appreciated his willingness to let us purchase items thus foregoing contractor mark-ups for vanities, etc. Aaron takes over, supervises and keeps you informed about sub-contractor arrivals and work. He balances monitoring with not being too intrusive, although if I had one criticism it was that sometimes I felt like I was the GC if he was busy elsewhere. All in all though very satisfied.

I highly recommend Classic Home Improvements. The renovations and projects done at my home were everything this company advertises: quality workmanship, projects done on time and on budget, and diverse expertise. The Operations Manager responded to my queries exceptionally quickly; everyone was pleasant, polite, and respectful to deal with; and work areas were left spotless. I dropped in unannounced at their Victoria office one day and was fortunate the owner/President was on site. He graciously stopped what he was doing and showed me samples of cupboard doors and hardware. Later that day he came to my home and provided an in-home consultation and quote. My kitchen reno is fabulous: new cupboard doors and drawers, hardware, laminate countertops, tile backsplash, and ceiling light fixtures. Subsequently, Classic’s contractors removed and replaced laminate flooring, scraped and painted exterior windows and door frames, replaced an exterior staircase to my sundeck including building footings for a concrete pad and step, and built a fence and gate. It seemed no job was too big or too small for Classic. If I had known this process would be so smooth, I would have done these projects a while ago. I recommend this outstanding company without hesitation.

We hired Classic Home Improvements to renovate our laundry room and 3 piece bathroom. We found them a pleasure to deal with and always there to listen to our thoughts. Initially, Barry walked through with us and listened to our ideas while passing on his recommendations and then the initial quote. Once we signed the contract Aaron was very thorough when doing the final measurements and filling in the details. All of their trades persons were friendly and did a great job. I felt that they all took a great deal of pride in their work. Aaron was wonderful with keeping us up to date as to what was to be done next and texted regularly to let me know who would be there the next day and approximate time of arrival. It all went very well. We have done a number of improvements to our home and this was the best yet for quality of work and overall satisfaction with the whole experience. Classic Home Renovations did a first-class job with the recent extensive renovation of my townhouse. The team from Classic did a complete kitchen renno as well as adapting a closet for a stackable washer and dryer and some other electrical work. We were very pleased with the quality of their work and their flexibility in making adjustments as our project progressed. Barry, Aaron and the crew were very easy to work with and made a great effort to minimize the disruption such a project brought to our every day living as we camped in our dining room for a month. We actually had other local companies turn us down without even a look or a quote because they thought our project wasn't big enough for them.. This company Classic Home Improvements was professional from start to finish . The project (kitchen upgrade) took a little longer than I thought it should but if you understand that at present we are in a boom cycle, I was glad that it was handled the way it was by Classic Home Improvements. I had all new cabinet doors made, added counter top lighting and a tiled back splash. Not a huge project but what a difference. I understand that I was not the only customer they had. From start to finish I'd like to thank Lindsay (quote,) Arron, ( kept me informed as to what was going to be happening and when ) Steve ( carpentry & finishing) , the tilers, the electrician and all the other unseen folks behind this project displayed nothing but skill in making sure the job was done right. Our friends can't believe it is the same kitchen we started with.

Classic Home did a complete gut and renovation of my bathroom. The job was completed on time, and was done beautifully.All the products were of the highest quality. The guys doing the job were very professional,courteous and always left the job site very clean. I am so pleased with the finished job. I love my bathroom.

Classic Home Improvements refaced my kitchen and bathroom cabinets, painted, added baseboards and crown moldings, and painted my condo on time and on budget and did a really spiffy job. Each of the personnel I dealt with were courteous and professional, and the clean up was beyond my expectations. I am very happy with their work and would highly recommend them. I especially appreciated the design help from their kitchen consultant, and the patience with which all my questions were answered promptly.

I had an old fireplace redone in our Living room The fireplace looks amazing !! I have used this company for a complete kitchen reno and a deck ext .The work that Classic does is second to none. Our only issue was with a third party, but Aaron was quick to correct the issue.

We recently hired Classic Home Improvements to do a bedroom and bathroom renovation for our Victoria Condo. I was impressed that their estimate process was thorough from the beginning and that they could source the products for us since we do not live in Victoria. It gave us a clear understanding of the bottom line cost. I like the coordination of the project and the oversight involved. Day one the team showed up ready to work and each person had their own specialty area and efficiently parsed out and coordinated the work effort I found clear communication on both sides was so important so we got the outcome we expected. We had a few follow up tweaks after the project was done and Aaron was extremely responsive to our requests. I would definitely recommend Classic Home Improvements!

We wanted a look-through from our kitchen to livingroom, and contacted Classic Home Improvements (CHI) based on their generally positive reviews and apparent competence with this type of renovation. From the design meetings to the completed work, we have been very pleased with this business. The look-through was in a supporting wall in a condo, so special engineering arrangements had to be made, and CHI handled all of this for us professionally and efficiently. The office staff, managers, and craftsmen were all friendly and professional. We will definitely recommend this business to anyone requiring and home renovation.

We were happy to have Classic in our home again, this time to renovate our tiny en-suite and make it into the lovely custom tiled spa retreat we'd been dreaming of. From the start they were open, clear and easy to work with. Both Barry and Aaron are easy to talk to and get a hold of. Plus, they ask the right questions and are quick to solve problems. The tear-out and prep was fast and clean, despite encountering some challenges along the way (which one should expect when tearing out walls and floors in an older house!) We appreciated how friendly the workers were, and felt they were very trustworthy and good at communicating. It was great having Tony in, as he took the time to explain things to us, was patient with our (many) questions and made sure that things were done right along the way. The subcontractors they had in did a great job on the tiling, electrical and plumbing, and Tony was in to check on progress often. The project was finished to 90% within 2 weeks, and if not for having to wait for a custom glass order to be remade (through no fault of Classic's) it would have been done completely in 3 weeks total, which is pretty amazing for a full tear-out bathroom reno. What we ended up with was exactly what we had pictured from the start - and on-budget as well! Next summer, we'll definitely be calling them to do the next bathroom on the list...

The work I had done involved removing an interior door, frame and drywall the hole and then relocate the doorway to make a closet area. Barry came by initially to have a look and discuss the project with me -- super friendly, informative and genuine guy. I was trying to keep the cost down by doing the finishing work myself (putting trim up, painting, etc.). Barry understood that and made sure that the estimate took that into account. In hindsight, it actually would have been good if I had received two estimates -- one for the finishing work excluded and another with it included. But that is really my own fault, as I got exactly what I asked for. However, if the extra cost had been minimal, I would likely have just had them do that for me as well. Live and learn! The fellow that did the work was extremely professional and did a wonderful job. The end result is exactly what I had envisioned, and looks great. I would highly recommend Classic Home, and the next time I need any work done they are at the top of my list! Jared

I have had an ongoing relationship with Classic Home Improvement for several years, they have done 3 prior renovations for me and I am currently in the early stages of my 4th renovation with them. I keep using them because of their quality workmanship; the final product is of excellent quality. Renos are done quickly, with excellent clean up upon completion. I would recommend Classic Home Improvement to anyone considering a renovation.

I hired Classic to supply new kitchen cabinets for a house renovation. Barry was very easy to deal with from the get-go and gave some great suggestions for layout. The designer, Jen, was also very responsive to what I was looking for in terms of storage and functionality. The cabinets turned out beautifully and fit perfectly into the space. I'm very happy with the result!

This was the least stressful renovation I have ever experienced. My bathroom (except for bathtub which was done earlier) was completely changed: new toilet, sink, flooring, wainscoting, painting. The result was beautiful and I am very pleased. All the staff were professional and courteous and communication was top-notch. The job was finished on time and on budget. When I read the positive reviews on Classic Home Improvements, I feel as if we are talking about 2 different companies. Our experience was nowhere near so positive. We had a complete renovation done of a 1550 square foot condo. After getting 4 different quotes we selected CHI because of their low estimate, reputation on Houzz and the fact they did custom cabinets. Issues we had are too numerous to list but these are the worst areas: •Poor drywall repair and patching and poor painting……..all done by their “carpenter” •Had re-painted by professional painters but due to poor prep, still a poor result •Design ideas and measurements by their “design expert” were all flawed: oHutch not deep enough, kitchen corner cabinets couldn’t open around oven, built in shelves too high for opening and had to be recessed, office desk a disaster and had to be re-built on site……..these are only a few issues with cabinets. Constant mistakes led to it taking over 2 months for full cabinet installation! •Heated bathroom floors barely work at 30C and don’t heat the entire bathroom as promised •Quartz waterfall bar counter only polished quartz on one side We got an initial “ballpark” budget from Barry, the owner. Only at our insistence did we get a written budget which was then missing key components. When these were added in the revised budget was 32% higher than originally quoted. With our constant issues we lost trust in Barry and asked to deal with someone else. We then got Aaron, Barry’s son. Issues and corrections continued. We declined some re-do’s because we had no faith in them doing a better job the second time. When it was “finally” complete we asked for some compensation. Aaron did give us some “slight” compensation admitting that this project had a lot of issues and it was not their best work. Even after that we had spent 27% more than budget (which was 68% more than initial quote). We paid a very premium price for a very mediocre job. We lost total trust in Classic and would NOT recommend them to anyone doing any kind of major job. We are extremely disappointed!!

Classic Home Improvements Exceeded Our Expectations First Open Heart Society is a non-profit organization that operates a Bed and Breakfast (Heart House). We needed four bathrooms completed gutted and renovated in a compressed 2 week period. Furthermore we needed them to coordinate their work with another company who would be removing and replacing flooring in those bathrooms, as well as adjacent hallways and other rooms. We were extremely impressed with their professional manner. The project went very smoothly and efficiently. The team lead by Aaron did a superb quality job – completing on time and on budget. The most impressive element was how tidy they were: there were never materials left around while the work was in progress, and every area they touched was thoroughly cleaned at the end of every day. Condo renovation - My "new" condo was circa 1977. It has a great lay out but was badly in need of updates. I was fortunate to hire the Classic Crew. My time frame was fairly tight (3 1/2 weeks) and the work fairly extensive. The kitchen and two bathrooms were gutted in addition to the front hall and dinning room getting a make over. I was happy right from the beginning of the project to the day they returned my keys. The organization of the trades was excellent and the quality of the work is beautiful. In addition all the trades people I had an opportunity to meet were very polite and professional.

We hired Barry and crew with Classic Home Improvements through a Home Depot referral to renovate our bathroom and kitchen. We were very happy with the service, the workmanship and communication throughout the process. I would highly recommend the company to anyone. Thanks very much team!!!

I contacted Classic Home Improvements November 2014 to renovate three bathrooms. They had great ideas and were helpful in the planning. They started the project late November and then I left town and they were on their own. They were great at staying in contact and coming up with ideas. I left them to find the tile, paint colour, faucets, etc. Painless for me and hopefully them. I came back to town, work was finished and have had many compliments since. I am more than happy to have such a big job done and out of the way. I will certainly hire them again for the next job.

After having our bathroom renovated by Classic Home Improvements, we decided to go for a larger job of having a total renovation of the attic. The house was built in 1911 with no apparent upgrade of the attic including nil insulation; cold and damp in the winter and extremely hot in the summer. The attic was used only by the cats who would go hide in the rafters when company came. We wanted a space for an office plus room to accommodate guests that included sleeping area and bathroom. We met with Barry and established a rough contract that allowed us to change things as the renos progressed. The difficult part was the insulation as we did not think that men dressed as aliens spraying insulation into the rafters looked like a very ecco way to go. After a little research and discussion, we decided to go with Roxul mineral wool insulation which meant that the whole attic had to be reframed. This was the slowest part of the renos but once completed everything else when along quite quickly. Another decision point was the installation of sun tunnels. A little more expensive than we had planned but decided because we had windows on one end that the additional natural light would give the space that extra punch and make it more inviting. The renos continued, things ran smoothly and the job was completed in a satisfactory time frame. I cannot say enough about the team from Classic Home Improvements. They were pleasant, seemed to enjoy their work and quite respectful of our disrupted lives and that of our animals. They showed up on time every morning and did a good day’s work; some days longer if they were working on a job that had to be finished before the plumber or electrician could continue the next day. The scheduling of specialty trades worked extremely well and there never seemed to be time wasted waiting for something to be completed before work could continue. We were extremely happy with the process and the completed result. Would I consider Classic Home Improvements for any other jobs? You bettcha I would and, in fact, I am looking around the house to see if we need something else done as I miss those guys! (just kiddiin).

Was referred to Classic Home Improvements through Home Depot. Their customer service has been fantastic from the get go in keeping us in the loop. They made sure we were satisfied throughout the whole process and we are happy with the result. We really appreciate the family oriented nature to this company. All employees were also very good with our young son and working around schedules.

I would highly recommend this company for any home renovations you might consider. The replacement of the bathroom/kitchen cabinets went smoothly, within the time frame promised. I was consulted whenever needed and was given helpful information to help with each decision. The renovation team acted professionally, and their actions showed they enjoyed their work and the bringing customer satisfaction. I am very happy with the results.

I highly recommend this company. The initial meeting with their sales representative was excellent. He listened to our plan(s) and provided us with an estimate that was transparent and open to scrutiny. Any questions we had were answered respectfully and promptly. We changed part of our plan during the course of the renovation which, of course, affected the overall cost. This was dealt with professionally and, more importantly, to our satisfaction. The craftmanship of their employees and tradesmen is second to none. Our carpenter did such an excellent job on our house. He was easy to talk to and attended to the smallest of details making sure the job was done right! I cannot say enough about how satisfied my wife and I are with respect to all aspects of this company! I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

My husband and I are impressed with the exceptional job that Classic Home Improvements did for our house. We initially had a basement that was dingy and unfinished and the team made it a welcoming space. The level of professionalism was to the highest standard.
