After my father suddenly passed away in 2022, we decided to renovate my parents' 40 year old home, my childhood home, mainly to help my mother heal and create a new space where our family could gather, as we had over the years. Since we wanted to completely revise the kitchen space and maximize cabinet space, my general contractor recommended Dickinson Cabinetry. Mike came to our home, took measurements and gave us some ideas as what could be done. We then went to his workshop where he showed us swatches, samples, and walked us through his initial design drawings. We provided feedback a few times and he provided updated drawings until we were satisfied. The entire process was efficient and productive. All the while, he kept in mind our desire to maximize space and functionality. The quality of workmanship is beautiful. Our home is small so we wanted the kitchen to be the heart and centerpiece of the home. In the end, we couldn't be more happy. When we all gather in the kitchen we remember my father lovingly. My mother loves cooking again and the 40 year old home feels brand new.

We have used Dickenson for two projects (kitchen cabinets and built in bookshelves). Their whole team was great to work with, easy to communicate with, and extremely thorough and professional. The cabinets are all beautiful and well worth the investment.

Mike and crew helped us with our kitchen remodel every step of the way from initial design, the appliance selection, the multiple revisions, picking out the stains and colors based, working with installers to get the delivery dates finalized and installed asap, to the final adjustments and touch ups. The cabinets are high quality, beautifully finished with top notch craftsmanship, my general contractor was so impressed with the cabinet materials.

Throughout the entire process, from the initial design phase to the final adjustments post-installation, Mike Dickinson, Shelly, Joe, and Danielle proved to be outstanding partners. Mike, in particular, demonstrated an exceptional understanding of my vision for the appliance cabinet, surpassing my expectations with his delivery. Flexibility was a key attribute, especially when our design evolved from an all-painted cabinet concept to a combination of painted and bamboo cabinets. Their timeliness in delivering the cabinets and their willingness to return for final adjustments when needed underscored their commitment to customer satisfaction. Beyond their excellent service, their craftsmanship stands out as truly top-notch. The resulting product not only exudes style but also impresses with its durability. While only time will confirm its longevity, I am currently delighted with the quality and finish of their work.

Dickinson Cabinetry made the cabinets for our kitchen remodel last year and we could not be more thrilled with the result. Mike was able to accomodate every detail and storage solution that I wanted in our kitchen. During the remodel, we had an incident where the contractor installed the window in the incorrect location. Mike caught the error and was able to adjust our design for this change. The cabinets are beautiful and functional, and have held up extremely well over the past year.

We recently had our kitchen cabinets fabricated by Dickinson Cabinetry and had them installed in our home in Fremont. CA. Right from my first communications with Mike and Shelly from discussing our needs to the final details by their shop manager Joe, we are extremely grateful for their customer-oriented service in delivering high quality cabinets. Our contractor, the installer and even the building inspectors who came by admired these bespoke cabinets and how well they were made. We did go through a hiccup when we opted for an additional cabinet, but they unhesitatingly accommodated us. There is always room to strive for higher accomplishments and stand out amongst their competition. Two such ways if we were to suggest are: 1. provide installation services and 2. include a step stool for access to over-the-counter cabinets. Thanks Mike, Shelly and Joe, for your service and the pride you take in your cabinets, these will be cherished and proudly exhibited by us to our guests for years to come.

Mike Dickinson and his team were fantastic and I am extremely happy with choosing them to replace all my kitchen cabinets. Their design team relaid out our cabinet arrangement giving me my heavy duty roll out drawers that I wanted for cookware plus swing out and rotating inserts in hard to use corner cabinets. They also helped me pick out the door design, wood choice, and stain colors and were extremely patient with us going through different options and styles and explaining the pros and cons of the different woods. Their craftsmanship is top notch. They use excellent quality materials and take great care in providing a quality product. We had one issue where one door didn't come out quite right, and the team made sure to take care of that promptly. I plan to use them again on future projects!

5 stars in every way. Long read, here is a detailed review. We contacted Mike in mid 2021 for a major job. Very large kitchen in a historic San Francisco home. This was not a $20k or 30k job - it was much bigger. So we had to be absolutely sure of the craftsmanship, the customer service, and more. It had to be fully custom and absolutely world class quality to fit the quality of the home and kitchen remodel. Summary - they delivered beyond my absurdly high expectations. From the very start, my designer had a good feeling about Mike - he was very upfront and transparent, and his whole team was full of nice people. Shelly is very responsive and helpful even with the basic things - you can tell right away they care a lot about attention to detail and to customer service. We hired Mike over 5 others we considered, and he was the most expensive bid actually (not by too much, by about 5% more than the 2nd highest and about 10% more than the lowest). Hiring Dickinson Cabinetry proved to be one of the very best decisions we made in our 1 year long remodel. In the middle of supply chain issues and Covid, Mike was always honest about the timeline. It was a bit longer than I would have liked but that was no fault of Mike's - everything was delayed. But Mike was honest and helpful and level headed about it all. Then came the product and install date. Mike's team, led by Raul, came by for delivery right on time in the morning and let me just tell you - the QUALITY of these cabinets and the wood island is absolutely obvious. The craftsmanship is superb. If you know nothing about cabinets, even then it's obvious. That's the great thing about great things - everyone can tell it's great! Now here is where it starts to get really amazing. We had a few issues and changes requested. Joe was the man here - he was super helpful along with being such a nice guy. He never got annoyed at my small requests and it was clear Joe & Mike wanted my family to be 110% happy. Antonio came by to do touch up work and is a very patient and talented guy. He must have come back 4 times - each time with a smile on his face and endless patience to get it perfect as I wanted it. Antonio did a great job fixing up every little nook and cranny I needed help with - just an awesome job. Some other cabinet makers might make nice cabinets. The Hyatt has nice hotel rooms, too. Mike, Joe, Antonio, Raul, Shelly - they are like the Four Seasons. Every little detail is world class. I have enjoyed every conversation I have had with every member of this team because everyone is just so nice and customer focused and patient. Along with the cabinets being a work of art themselves oozing with quality. If you are considering Dickinson Cabinetry, my strong opinion is you would be making a big mistake if you picked another cabinet maker. Thank you so much Mike, Joe, Antonio, Raul, Shelly!

I highly recommend Dickinson Cabinetry - they did a fantastic job and were very helpful and efficient! I would definitely recommend them for kitchen and bathroom cabinets. They were very professional and had alot of great insight on design and color choices. Would definitely use them again!

We remodeled essentially the entire front half of our house starting in late October of 2020, and Dickinson Cabinetry did all our kitchen cabinets, our island, pantry, and our fireplace mantel. Mike and Shelly and team were awesome and easy to work with, we had no issues with timing or any of the logistics, and the quality of work was outstanding. Our interior designer had had a bad experience with conversion varnish with a different cabinet maker in the past and she was nervous about using this, but as our general contractor said, "Mike's cabinets (and the paint on them) can withstand a bomb blast." ;) It's been about 9 months since the kitchen cabinets went in, and we haven't set off any bombs yet, but we certainly have made very good use of our kitchen, and everything is holding up great so far! The paint we chose for the kitchen cabinets was a very particular grey/blue color that Mike's team had to match, and they matched it perfectly - as a matter of fact, the most common compliment we get on our new kitchen is the color and look of the cabinetry. Our fireplace mantel was delivered in March and we installed it in April and that looks amazing as well. Would highly recommend Dickinson Cabinetry!

We remodeled our kitchen in winter and spring, and we order custom flush inset cabinets from Mike at Dickinson. We couldn't be happier. They are solid, beautiful made, and perfectly aligned. We get a lot of compliments. Dickinson delivered them right on time. We felt the price was more than reasonable given the quality of the work. Dickinson also made overlay cabinets for our laundry room and a bathroom. Highly recommended.
