I approached Amy with a small project that needed to be done fast. She was open and honest about not being able to work with me and, instead, gave me AMAZING references and was MORE than helpful! Her amazing character will definitely keep her in my rolodex for the next time I have a project she will be the first person I hire. Thank you Amy!

We hired Good Gumption to help us add beauty to the front of our house. We had a boring sidewalk front that really needed help. Amy provided a great layout of plants that could work with our site condition. All of her designs and post care instructions were presented with our own web link. Super helpful when going back and reviewing. She guided us through permitting and put us in contact with the right people to do the job, like the concrete removal. We are thrilled and I recommend her all the time.

Amy helped me design a greywater garden for part of the front yard here at ModNomad Studio in Sausalito. You can read about the project in the San Francisco Chronicle. We had a tight deadline and Amy was spectacular from start to finish. She has an incredible eye for design and her love and knowledge of plants is inspiring. I learned how to lay drip irrigation and to plant everything myself. Her process demystified gardening and irrigation for me, and I've maintained it myself for the past year, adding some new plants and learning about which ones do best here, with a lot of sun and deer! We were referred to Amy by our neighbor who had her own yard landscaped quite well by Amy in the past. From the moment we contacted Amy, we knew it was going to be a smooth engagement. She was courteous and responsive, and highly organized. Amy worked with us patiently to understand our needs and inspiration. We wanted to create a magical "Dr Seuss" garden for our baby daughter, one that would flourish with her over time. Amy designed something as a first cut that was so on the mark, we barely needed an adjustment (I think we asked to change one plant out of a couple dozen). When the work was complete just a short few weeks later, we were absolutely delighted. Amy is a true artist, her care, passion and talent came through not only in the final work but through the entire planting process. I told her that in my experience, you usually get someone who is artistic and creative or someone who is organized and professional, never both! But with Amy, you really get both. We can't recommend her highly enough. We plan to work with her again as our home evolves, we feel fortunate to have discovered her.
