The Holder Parlette team is a pleasure to work with. Kenneth and Kate are creative, collaborative, and responsive. They are good communicators. They really listen and consider their clients' input and it is apparent they care deeply about their projects. Also important is how well they work with other trade professionals (contractors, designers, electricians, plumbers, etc..) throughout their projects. And finally, they are great at their craft! They have exquisite taste, creativity, and expertise which shows in the beautiful, finished homes they create. I have enjoyed working with Holder Parlette both as a client and collaboratively on a design team, and I look forward working with them in the future.

We have been working with Holder Parlette for over a year now on our remodel and could not recommend them enough. From the start, we have found their approach to be thoughtful, smart and collaborative. The entire team is warm, friendly, talented and professional and just a pleasure to collaborate with. Kenneth and Kate are truly masters of their craft. They are such talented individual, so as a team they brought innovative and modern ideas to our project that transformed it beyond our expectations. They genuinely listened to our ideas and were such a pleasure to work with professionally and spend time with personally during the process. We were impressed by how they established such a positive relationship with our contractor and worked side by side to keep the things moving in a timely and productive manner. They have an exquisite attention to detail that we appreciate more and more since moving into our new home. There are so many wonderful things to say about Holder Design. Kate and Kenneth make a remarkable team. They are dedicated, welcoming, and make the entire design process manageable and enjoyable. While they work independently, their collaborative efforts make for a seamless flow of creativity. You can see their ideas in the designs they create, but its not just about the finished product. They make the journey itself enjoyable. Kate and Kenneth are able to understand what you want, even when you can’t put it into words. They truly listened and were able to translate what I wanted into a single word- “friendly”. They feel so dedicated to their clients. Kenneth literally walked up a mountain to get reception while on vacation to answer some questions we had about the project. We can’t say enough about Holder Design.

Kenneth and his team exceeded our expectations in every way. They were extremely timely and always responsive. Unlike so many architects, they really paid attention to our design inputs and wanted us to feel like an integral part of the process. Kenneth showed an amazing eye for details we ever would have considered.

Westwind Construction

Kenneth and his team at Holder Design showed consistent professionalism in the design process through construction. We have worked with him on at least 6 new homes in Napa and Marin County which have all been very successful. Working directly with the principal rather than being passed to a staff person has been perhaps the best aspect to working with a smaller firm which we would recommend to someone who wants a more personal and experienced consultant.

Kommenteret: I love the funky chandelier. Where did you get it? Who makes it?I am sorry to say I think that was a one-of-a-kind and I think it was an abandoned ant colony that someone poured liquid bronze into. Weird but fascinating.

Kommenteret: Can you identify the stone material used on this project?That is a stone I believe was called Harvest Gold which was sourced by SBI in Napa/Sonoma. They could tell you I think.
