Lovely people, Kept us in the loop throughout, and remained patient , even when I decided to change things halfway through. Follow up was great. They don’t just leave and forget about you. Happy to come back and correct any little bit that may have been missed. One piece of advise. Get in a big bag of sugar, Kim has a sweet tooth. Would recommend them. House looks great.

Kim completed my bathroom, she finished the vinyl click flooring, painted the walls, constructed a bespoke pine bath surround and all the skirting. She did an Awesome job, professional and to a high quality finish.

i have known kim for about 7 years she has decorted my lounge and hall twice my bedroom and the ceiling in my kitchen and bathroom her quote is very good she picks the colours and i have always been very pleased with what she chooses she is always on time very clean always smiling she never stops from the time she starts i have to beg her to have a break she brings her little dog Beau with her he is so good i would recommened her to anyone

Kim was great, we just needed our daughter room painting, and Kim did it to a high standard. She was on time everyday, gave us an update half way through the day and left the place tidier than it was when she started. Would recommend Kim.

This was the second time we have used Kim and we’re very glad we have. She has just completed a wonderful job on our sitting room where she sanded our oak floor and applied wax to a fantastic finish. She also painted the walls. Her attention to detail is second to none and her pride in her work is obvious. Kim is a great source of knowledge as to what is suitable too. We can recommend her 100% to anyone. In fact we’re so pleased we’ve booked her back for a third job already! As long as we can take Beau for a walk!

When we received the request to submit a review we were to delighted to do so. We found Kim of Home and Proud via an internet search. Our home is a listed building, therefore, it was fundamental we found someone who was able to use the correct methods and materials. We invited four different decorators to take a gander at our property to supply a quotation for the work required. We knew immediately upon meeting Kim that she would be the most suited to complete the work on our home. Kim completed some external decoration on our home and the finish was outstanding. She worked throughout the day, with very little breaks, bearing in mind the temperatures we had this summer. Kim is not only exceptionally knowledgeable she was a pleasure to have around our home. We found her very respectful, polite, tidy worker, professional and completed the job in the timescale quoted. Furthermore, if you get the opportunity ask Kim about her previous career and her travels. To add, expect a little terrier in tow. Beau was such a little character and we were kept entertained by him. We will use Kim for all our future decorating, and would highly recommend her. Over the years I have dealt with many trades people and I to say how easy it was to deal with Kim. She was professional, reliable and provided us with a written quote that gave us a fixed price with no adjustments. Kim decorated our kitchen, dining room and hall, stairs and landing and the finish is impeccable. Kim is a real perfectionist and has a good eye for detail. Our dated rooms have now been absolutely transformed. We found Kim to be such a nice person to work with, her and her little dog, Beau, have now become friends. We would highly recommend Kim.

Kim and one of her team members have just completed work on a National Trust property where I work as a housekeeper. The work was undertaken to the highest specification with detailing now making it look like a new home. Kim always works very hard and is very knowledgable about different paints needed, period features and has great ideas for colours in each room. Kim has just completed the renovation of our hall, stairs and landing which, thanks to years of awful slapdash work was an utter mess. We can't express in words how happy we are with the results. Kim is a true perfectionist who has an eye for the smallest detail. She has gone over and way above our expectations. Over the years, I have become cynical about hiring builders and other craftsmen to complete work in my home. But Kim saved my faith in the maker's mark. Kim was professional, organised and communicative from the first time I contacted her. She gave me an outstanding service by painting our rear hallways, bathroom and double bedroom on the ground floor of my home. It was done over a year ago and still looks brand new. She was respectful, kind and worked extremely quickly. She is the ONLY time served workman to ever return my calls within a day of phoning and the only one to cover her work boots before entering the house. Her prices were extremely fair for the work she did and that included having to apply a special extra paint to a section of my hallway that had serious issues - she figured out what the trouble was and didn't charge me extra for it. As a single mum with two jobs, I have had a great deal of experience in trying to negotiate with builders who overcharge, can't seem to communicate with other adults, follow simple instructions or just don't turn up. Kim is so far above these men that it's incredible. One more thing - she made me feel safe and did not behave inappropriately, turned up on time every day and just generally excelled herself in every way. Need an expert painter? I can't think of a better one. Even if you don't need a painter, I'd recommend meeting Kim as an example of an exceptional human being.
