This white oak was some of the nicest we've seen in recent years. As there has been a noticeable decline in the quality of this species from other suppliers, we are extremely happy and thankful we got in touch with Hull Forest Products. It was such a pleasure to work with Hull Forest products. We went into a renovation knowing next to nothing about long plank flooring, so we needed an education, in addition to a quality product. Hull Forest gave us the relevant information, details, options and estimates. Every step of the process has been smooth and professional. I love knowing that the floors have come from sustainable forests, maintained by people who are stewards of the land. It really makes a difference when you are making this kind of investment. We visited Hull's sawmill in CT and were very impressed with the people we met and the various woods. We chose select sap maple wide plank flooring for our city loft and we couldn't be more pleased with our choice. Our project got delayed for 6 months due to Covid, and Hull was very gracious in holding our wood for all that time without any additional cost. We installed the wood with a clear finish, and it looks just fabulous. Our builder was extremely pleased with the quality of the wood as well.

This was my second time using Hull Forest Products (HFP) for my Maine home remodeling projects using 3/4” T&G, wide plank maple flooring. Both times I was very happy & satisfied with the results, once using premium tiger (red) maple, and the second time using premium all-sapwood hard (sugar) maple. HFP specializes in northern hardwoods from forests they manage and in conjunction with forest owners. Mary Hull and Belinda Culp were very responsive to all my many questions and their follow-up was superb, even throughout this trying time of COVID-19. My flooring contractor was impressed with the trueness of the HFP tongue & groove milling process which produces very straight planks even in the widest widths and longest lengths. With the stress relief cuts on the bottom of planks, I’ve had no problems with cupping even after seven years (and I turn the heat off in my cottage when I close up for the winter!) You won’t get Lumber Liquidator prices, but you’ll be happy to know that with HFP - you get what you pay for.

I used this company after my client had pinned some of the flooring images on their inspiration board. This company completely exceeded our expectations in all ways. The pricing was very reasonable, the speed of the delivery was within our timeline and the material was of the highest quality. We were left with one bundle after the installation and the workers divided it up amongst themselves. They were going to make shelves out of it. This isn't hardwood flooring, this is hardwood shelving.

I have owned a commercial architecture firm, construction company, and development company for 15+ years and seen a lot of products come through my office over my career. I purchased 1,200 sf of figured curly birch for the main living area of my mid century modern home. There are luxury hardwood flooring manufacturers and then there is Hull. My contractor, who has been solely focused on hardwood flooring projects for nearly 20 years was very impressed with the finished product. I believe his words were "I've seen similar flooring material in shorter and narrower lengths but nothing quite as special as this". My house guests have compared the finished floor to gun stock. If you're looking for a very special product to make a statement or just enjoy every day, you will not be disappointed.

We could not be happier with our selection and your company. Everyone who we welcome into our home comments on how beautiful these floors are. Anyone building a new home who doesnt at least entertain the idea of putting hardwoods in from a local mill, particularly this local mill, is doing themselves a disservice, there is no comparison to engineered or mass produced hardwoods, these floors define our home and the vision we had for it. > Belinda, the Hull sales person, was so accommodating and professional I never would have thought of looking at another local mill, she made the process as seamless as possible responding to any question more than timely and guided me with courtesy and respect even after some long breaks in our timetable, never wavering in her professional manner.

Hull forest products has beautiful flooring and the person I dealt with, Mary Hull, was fabulous. I had rift-and-quarter sawn white oak flooring shipped all the way to California. This company was fabulous about storing the wood when we were behind schedule and even did a rapid order for pieces we needed after the initial order was complete. After a year, the floor and the prefinish have held up extremely well. Kudos to these folks for fine craftsmanship and great service.

We have found there to be flexibility in the character, grading and width of floor so that we may give our clients the specific floor that they desire. Hull Forrest Products completed my order exactly as speciified and within the agreed time frame. We had slight weather delays, which can happen to anyone. I was given very professional personal attention to ensure that my order would be everything I required for this large very special custom built wood focused home. The floors are select clear rift only white oak snd they are absolutely gorgeous. I also ordered some stair components and door trim to the same spec. During a lengthy search for the perfect floor for the house we were building, we happened on Hull's booth at a show in NYC. We were struck by the quality of the woods displayed and the professionalism of the staff. Nothing we had seen or would see came as close to what we wanted. Ultimately we chose heart walnut random width planks. As is usual, we ordered enough for 10% waste since we did not want knots. Our installer sub-contractor later told us the quality of the shipment was so excellent that "after a while, we stopped looking for defects - it was that good." Working with Hull's team was also a pleasure - straightforward, prompt and courteous. All in all a very happy experience we are reminded of, and delighted by, every time we look at our beautiful floors. This was our biggest single decision and in many ways was a keystone to the house.

We installed the 5 in Oak wood flooring, The flooring is superior to the local products available, The boards are much longer in length than standard boards and when installed looked amazing. I had the wood pre stained and shipped to Houston Texas. I encountered one issue with this enormous order and they handled it right away, very easy to work with. Once you put these floors in you will never go to the local store again. I will add a photo when the house is done.

I worked with John at Hull Forestry a great experience. He had me come to the mill for personal tour and opportunity to select my flooring. Everything he promised was delivered exactly when my builder and installer (Matt Farhm) who was recommended by John needed it. We went with 3, 4, and 5 Inch Wide New England Cherry Select. The best compliment I have received by every trade professional who worked on my house was the length and quality of my boards, with tongue and groove on sides and end. They all said where did you get your flooring. Surprisingly none had heard of Hull Forestry and that I got it directly from the mill was another point they we impressed with. Our flooring is the showcase for our house and gets compliments from everyone who visits. I love it so much I actually enjoy vacuuming it and cleaning it just to look at, yes REALLY. The best decision we ever made and at what I think was a better price than you would expect for flooring of this superior quality.

I worked with Jon Ramos at Hull Forest Products - he was extremely helpful and gave me great suggestions regarding wide plank flooring. After his advice, I chose curly birch. He put the order together promptly, shipped the floors across the country at a very reasonable rate, and all the flooring was perfect when it arrived. I was delighted with Hull Flooring's service from the very first phone call. They answered my questions and help me understand the differences in finishes and types of wood. I was even more impressed to find out that my floor would be custom milled and stained. I wanted a white oak with a whitewash stain and I used a variety of cuts, plain, rift and select. ( all part of the custom ordering they offer) The floor is fabulous and everyone raves about it. In fact even better than I expected and frankly better than any I saw during my extensive search. When building our new home, we purchased around 3,000 sq ft of rift sawn white oak flooring from Hull. The flooring was finished with Arboritec Avenue 20, a water based finish. After enjoying the flooring for two years, we can say without reservation that we got the highest quality wood at a very competitive price. The rift sawn oak looks amazing. Our installers were also quite impressed with the product. Toward the end of the project, we discovered our footage estimates had been optimistic and we ran short of boards. Jon at Hull was extremely helpful and turned around a small order of material in just a few days. For about the same price we would have paid at a local flooring dealer, we were able to get a custom, heirloom quality product

Can't recommend highly enough. They custom milled my flooring to my exact (and strenuous specifications) after gathering enough material to meet my specifications. Price matched best price I had. The product arrived on time and was spectacular. Milling so accurate and surface so smooth, I didn't want to sand it before finishing. 3000 SF and only one or two joints were not perfect. Cull material, maybe 1%.

Hull Forest provided wide plank hickory floor boards for our Log Cabin. We asked for the planks to be as rustic as possible with knot holes and saw marks.Hull Forest provided exactly what we wanted. We left the wood natural and we are so proud of our wood floors. They look perfect in our log cabin. Hull Forest also provided wall boards for our downstairs basement in the cabin. These boards were also rough cut and look great with the rock walls we also have in the basement. It was a pleasure working with Hull Forest. They offered suggestions and helped produce the beautitul log cabin we have today.

Our hope for the project was to get locally sourced materials for a high-end new home. Hull Forest Products sourced just the right material, milled it to our specs, and dealt with our shifting schedule. Great!

We chose Hull Forest flooring because thy provided quality wide board flooring in the state we were building our home. We used local sources to save on transport, and to promote local family owned businesses. They are a sustainable company which also was important to us. Beautiful product, and great customer service! Highly recommend Hull Forest products.

Hull Forest Products white oak 7" wide strip flooring is amazing. I specified 2,500 SF of it for a condominium project. The customer service was as good as it gets. These are real folks who have a great product- and pride in their products. The quality of the delivered goods was outstanding. The planks were longer than I have ever received as standard goods. The graining was the highest quality. The result was a stunning floor that looks timeless from the moment that it was installed. I highly recommend Hull for wood floors.
