Fabric first means concentration on energy performance of the building structure before looking at bolt on features such as boiler and heating systems which are often not needed. The highly efficient fabric performance of our building process means you don’t have to spend so much on household bills because you use much less energy. In our factory controlled environment we bring in packs of timber, cut exactly to size, which we assemble, insulate, weather protect, bring to site and erect in a matter of days. These panels can be timber clad, rendered and painted, cavities then brickwork or stonework walled. It’s all up to you. Our quality build system can be used for bespoke self build, custom builds, or commercial projects for example schools and community housing. PYC Group is a family run business and with over 25 years in the sustainable construction industry we understand the excitement and anxieties you may have, especially if building your dream home. We have a friendly and professional team who are experts in low energy and sustainable building, including Passivhaus. They can advise or support at any stage, whether you just need drawings, or you’d like us to design and build your project from scratch. The materials in our builds are predominantly timber based and procured locally where possible. At our factory in Wales we build fully engineered, insulated and airtight closed panels using Warmcel and timber I-beams. We also supply the quality products and services that help to create our high-performance buildings. The panelised units are then transported to site where a weather protected structure can be assembled in only a few days, reducing your on-site costs.
