Salnek's Custom Window Treatments

We hired Salnek's Barrie to install shades for our bedrooms. Judy came for the consult. She was so knowledgeable and creative in her solutions and recommendations. We had a particularly tricky, extended arch portrait window, recently installed and we did not want the window treatment to compromise it's beauty. We went with Norman Window Fashions, Portrait Honeycomb Smart Fit shades which had a topdown bottom up feature which fit our application perfectly. Judy also came with the installer to ensure the shades were hung in the particular fashion she envisioned. The result was perfect. The installer was as professional and skilled as we expected after our consult with Judy. The job was done on budget and within the projected timelines. I would recommend Salnek's Barrie without reservation. They are unparalleled in selection, quality and customer service. I will definitely be calling them again next year when we update our remaining windows.

Ordered shutters and roller shades - Prior to closing and to expedite our order, Sara followed the builder regarding completion of window trim and framing. Once done, she scheduled the installers to come to the house to measure all windows. Window coverings arrived as scheduled and fit perfectly. The finished results met our expectations. Love the Salnek's team! We had a in-home consult for our babies room a few years ago and loved the suggestions made. We built a 3600 sq ft home this year and didn't hesitate to call Sara for another consultation. My husband and I had an idea of what we were wanting for the windows so we worked with Sara and she brought even better ideas to the table. She took in to consideration all the aspects of our home, and mentioned several things we hadn't even considered. I know that's her job, but she's really good at it and I highly recommend this company!

I recently hired his company to do window coverings for my home in Collingwood and I was extremely pleased with the end result. We did Silhouettes throughout the home and drapery in the bedroom. The workmanship on the drapery was excellent and I am even thinking about hiring them to do my home in the city. I would highly recommend this company.

we received estimate on april 25th for custom made pleated lined drapery for family room and patio door in kitchen for 2093.00. we r seniors on a fixed income so was a big decision thats why we hired a interior designer from a drapery shop. installation took place july 2 drapery was dragging on floor as traverse rod was installed 2 low and sagging plus looked terrible pin hooks were not strong enough so drapes were slanting back on rod also drapes did not go around ends of traverse rod. another problem was that edges were not pressed properly so a call was made to the shop to have a different rod as the traverse rod was wrong for the drapes and have the edges sewed down so they would not be separating from the lining. i also at this point ordered 2 tie- backs 24 inches for 54 dollars. second installation took place in august removed traverse rod for a cheaper one (no rebate) so drapes could go around .bend in rod.husband was left to repair holes and paint walls. the tie-backs were not the 24 inches that was ordered claimed they ran out of material yet i was still charged. we have again had to rehang the rod a second time one and a half inches higher to get them off the floor as installer hung them in same spot even tho we wanted them off the floor .seamtress also did a poor job shorter on the sides and longer in the middle !!!!! not impressed with my custom -made drapes or the installation of the product..very dissatified and a waste of 2100.00 dollars for us.would not ever use this company again or recommend to anyone. company rep.would be welcome to view!!
