Founded in 2006 by Kimberly Roulet, KDesign has been serving luxury home owners in North Texas as a trusted advisor for their home decor for over a decade. KDesign specializes in luxury window treatments that provide privacy, light control and accent the home interior within the budget of each client. Kim’s passion for decor with attention to great detail is equal to her commitment to the satisfaction of each customer. Using many products (hand crafted plantation shutters, wood blinds, faux wood blinds, woven woods, draperies, roman shades, cell shades, roller shades and valances) Kim works with each family to design window treatments that meet personal style preferences and practical requirements. Every KDesign window treatment is custom, made-to-order. We handcraft all plantation shutters, drapery panels and roman shades here in our Dallas manufacturing facility. Locally sourced and environmentally responsible products are always a priority.

I wanted to purchase some plantation shutters. I tried Houz. It was easy to fill in quick questions and in 2 minutes Kim Roulette called. We made an appointment for her to come to my house. She was knowledgeable and professional. Kim has also helped me with some other projects.

I’m so happy with my shades and shutters! The whole process from meeting to installation was seamless. Kim was great, always responded quickly and produced exactly what I was envisioning.

The shutters really look fantastic inside and really finished things off so nicely from the front elevation. The custom roman shades with performance fabric add such a nice layer of softness to the breakfast and family as well as great functionality.

Kim at A Redesigned Life helped us pick our roller shades & shutters for our new home. She quickly provided us with a quote and helped with any questions we had along the way. She was so easy to work with and super sweet! We LOVE the outcome of the products installed, as well. We couldn’t recommend Kim more!

I needed to make a few kitchen updates, but really had no idea where to start. I know what I like when I see it, but become completely overwhelmed by all the choices. Kim was wonderful in offering suggestions and providing options. I love how everything came together...paint, light fixtures and gorgeous window treatments! The entire process was extremely professional and detail oriented. I will definitely work with Kim again on my next project!

Kim did an amazing job from start to finish on my shutters and Roman shades! She spent time with me to determine style and fabric, and she was involved with every step of the installation. I am very happy with the finished product and will absolutely call her with future projects.

I was introduced to Kim as she was helping a friend decorate and add window treatments to her new home. I liked her style and how she had transformed the home. We have since contracted Kim to help us with window treatments and decorate our new home. Kim patiently listened and guided us through several options that have turned out just beautiful and added so much warmth and character to our home. Her attention to detail, eye for design and time spent making sure everything is completed to her high standard has made working with her a great experience. I would not hesitate to work with her again and highly recommend her to others.

I purchased a home that had been completely remodeled but with no window treatments. Kim agreed to come to the house and help me understand my options. She listened to me then gently guided me towards solutions that made sense and ultimately look great. She was on site throughout the entire process, and she handled it all as if she were preparing window treatments for her own home. I was very impressed with her attention to detail and her commitment to excellence. She did not stop until she was 100% satisfied with every portion of the installation.

I purchased shutter thru Kim and the entire experience could not have gone more smoothly. We were living in a California but building in Texas and Kim was always available to meet on the days we were in town, had great design/style suggestions, and was there for installation to ensure every detail was perfect! We will definitely work with her again.

Kim helped us find the perfect style of shutters for our new home. Her willingness to talk through each style and feature made all the difference. Once the shutters were installed she followed up to make sure we were happy with the quality and installation, and to make sure we knew what we needed about care and maintenance. We couldn’t be happier.

Kim helped us cover our windows with plantation shutters, shades, and drapes. The plantation shutters look fantastic and well made. She provides several options that make the shutters work for your family. The shades are also great in the area she picked for them. We had her help with the drapes and she brought by fabric samples after looking at our existing furniture. The drapes are now up with custom rods and they look absolutely fantastic. Overall we couldn’t be happier with the work done by Kim and her team. She was always pleasant to work with and the people she uses to install the products are also friendly and professional.

Kim was able to create a flawless design for window treatments to compliment and amplify my interior design choices and direction for our newly constructed home. From planning to installation, Kim exceeded my expectations. She has extremely reasonable prices, yet the attention to detail and follow through of a white glove service. Bonus, she is a genuinely nice person who makes window treatments approachable for every budget.
