We collaborated with Kallweit Graham Architecture on a very large renovation project in West Vancouver. What stood out for us was their overall vision for the final product and their ability to clearly conceptualize for their clients. Having originally been mentored by some of the best Architects in West Canada, their 23 years experience in the field is extensive and shows in their portfolio. Ross and Karen do an excellent job and I give their services the highest recommendation. What I appreciate most is their creative juices and energy to make a project turn out better than imagined. As well, Ross and Karen listened to me and together we came up with a design that made our renovated house look like it was built brand new. We are building a coach house in West Vancouver and were the first to apply. So you can imagine the issues. Shora guided us through the process and made the application simple to understand. We were given our development permit recently with no issues thanks to the understanding of the requirements and By Laws. We are now into final design and all is going well. This is the second time we have used Kallweit Graham who helped in our up dating of the main house 12 years ago, the results of which we still enjoy to the max.

The final result went above and beyond what we anticipated and their expertise manifested itself in the finished product. My wife and I engaged KGA to help with the design, bidding, contract supervision and management of a whole house renovation with addition. It was a difficult project due to the extent ( ~6000 sf ), the site - steep with some significant design and engineering challenges, and some unexpected changes in the condition of the underlying structure. They came up with a terrific design that acheived the style and feel we wanted. They were very collaborative. We had many of our own design requirements that they incorporated and significantly enhanced, Their budget was fair and they lived within it despite some considerable strains on their time due to the final building costs. The later was due to a combination of builder-issues, site factors, unexpected building conditions necessitating change including some major downgrading of the inside finishing. They have subsequently worked with us to complete some of the original unfinished featues.

Kallweit Graham Architects designed our new house, their interior designer designed all the built-in features, helped with selection of all the finishes, fixtures, appliances etc. The landscape architect that worked with the firm designed a beautiful west coast, low maintainance garden. We worked very closely with the architects to achieve all of the features and conveniences that we hoped for. The result is a beautiful, functional home on three levels that has fantastic street appeal. Six years after the completion of our home, we still have cars stop and people looking admiringly at our home. We are completely happy with the experience and the expertise and care with which they did their job!
