Kristin Lam Interiors is an Interior Design firm specializing in kitchen and bath remodeling. Kristin has been creating beautiful interiors on both the east coast and west coast for over 30 years. Each design is as unique and individual as each client. The ambiance of her interiors is as elegant as they are comfortable. Her use of color, textures, space planning and beautiful lighting provides her clients with breathtaking spaces that feel like home. Her forte is to incorporate client’s surroundings and personal style into each and every design. Each home is unique to that specific client. "I keep my eyes and ears open for cues from my clients, both spoken and unspoken, that help me to facilitate a home that is perfect for that particular client. Each home is a reflection of their unique personal style. Walking through their home is like a good novel unfolding page after page." After graduating Bauder College in 1981, Kristin began her interior design career in Miami, Florida at David & Dash and then Plummer Interiors. After moving to Atlanta, Georgia to raise her family, she opened Eclectic Interiors. In 2000, she moved to San Diego to open Kristin's Eclectic Interiors where she continues her success as owner of Kristin Lam Interiors. Kristin continues her education immersing herself in other cultures. Research thus far includes trips to Italy, England, French Polynesia, Bali, the Caribbean, Hawaii, and Turkey. This allows her to bring unique design elements, some seldom seen in our culture, to her clients. “Many of my clients are surprised at the number of moving parts that must come together in just the right order so the project is complete on time and within budget. Managing time, people and materials—all the while focusing on my client’s design goals—is my expertise." Whether whole house design or a kitchen or bathroom remodel, Kristin is experienced to make the client’s house feel like home.

Kristin is one of the best Interior Designers I've ever worked with. She is extremely talented, knowledgeable, and very down to earth. She has a keen sense for design and listens to the clients wishes and incorporates her ideas with the clients. She was able to point us in the right direction for stores in our area that we can preview tiles, wood, cabinets, faucets, etc. She literally turned my master bathroom into the look of a "four seasons hotel." She also re-did our entire kitchen! The finishing touches throughout the house are spectacular! She is extremely easy to work with and I would highly recommend Kristin!

My husband and I had the amazing experience of working with Kristin during a year long remodel. She does an excellent job of listening to clients needs and tastes while offering her designer expertise. Kristin has excellent connections yet she was always willing to look at other options. Her prices were very reasonable. We were never "nickel and dimed" for services. We have been living in our house for a year now and I am continually grateful for her design expertise. I recommend Kristin highly. She would be my first choice if we go through this process in the future.

I worked with Kristin for over a year on a complete home remodel project. Kristin is very responsive, honest, professional, and reliable. Not only did she work great with me, she worked very seamlessly with our general contractor. While there are always issues with large remodel projects, Kristin always took accountability to ensure they were addressed by all involved parties.

I can't thank Kristin enough! We embarked over a year ago on a major "down-to-studs" remodel. We knew we'd need help top-to-bottom to make this effort truly reflect our hopes for our dream home, but we had never worked with a designer before. We found Kristin through Houzz after one of her kitchen designs became a favorite in my first IdeaBook. We planned on interviewing a few people, but once we met with Kristin, we knew we had the right person. In addition to her work, we loved her approach and demeanor - that perfect mix of confidence, quality and professionalism with a relaxed, fun, and approachable personality. Piece by piece, Kristin guided us through decisions, both the big and mundane, that all came together beautifully. So many examples -- the island lights that started it all, the tile choices that were truly inspired, the painstaking efforts on the kitchen cabinet color to assure the right tone, the paint colors that tied the whole house together, working with my two daughters to help them find their "voice" in their rooms in a way they will continue to love for years…the list goes on. Kristin worked great with our amazing builder…I think they are even going to continue their working relationship on a future job! She coordinated vendors, deliveries and installations without a hitch. I really appreciated how these behind-the-scenes efforts helped keep things on track. The end result: Priceless! Kristin was able to help us articulate our style better than we ever could have understood it ourselves. Our house has gotten rave reviews -- everyone notices the quality choices everywhere and appreciates its understated warmth mixed with contemporary leanings. We absolutely LOVE it! There is no way we could have achieved this without her! Kristin has been instrumental in making our home one we will love forever.

We are a General Contractor and Real Estate Developer company. We have had the privilege to work with Kristin Lam Interiors on a custom single family home for a wonderful client. Kristin Lam Interiors brought extraordinary design concepts to the table coupled with thinking outside the box. Everyone was extremely happy with the final product created by this designer. Additionally, Ms. Lam is experienced, knowledgeable about construction protocol and provided excellent service. We intend to hire Kristin Lam Interiors for future speculative developments.

Kristen was instrumental in giving our beach house a clean modern look. It required a kitchen face lift as well as new furniture and built-ins throughout the main living area. She had a great vision from the beginning on how to obtain an up to date, yet timeless, look. Kristen is a great listener and ensures the finished project is consistent with the owners vision. She provided excellent guidance on color and fabric selections, and her design ideas maximized our storage and organizational needs in a small footprint. We couldn't be happier with how our project turned out.

I don't know how I would have even found Kristin Lam if it wasn't for Houzz but I'm so glad I did. I hired Kristin to design my dream kitchen. I know Kristin often works on projects by overseeing the entire design and building process but I was hoping to save money by managing the project myself. I took all the great advice from Houzz and other remodeling sites and had an expert design our project which is why I think it went so smoothly and came out so beautifully! Before we started the project, my husband and I a rough idea of the plan - move everything and create a modern, Japanese-influenced design but we needed Kristin's expertise and vision to put the plan down on paper. She really paid attention to our needs and wishes and she has a lovely design aesthetic. She designed a very original, beautiful full-wall tansu style cabinet that has given us so much more storage. I always wanted a tansu but never knew how I could given our small space. Having Houzz ideabooks helped me organize the features and details I was looking for. She returned halfway through the project to help me pick finishes and colors and I was so grateful for her input. I have to say that I was very lucky to have found Kristin and know my kitchen would not have turned out half as special without her design influences. It's a completely original design - like having artwork from a master. We'll post better photos on Houzz soon!

Kristen helped me with some design in my home and diesigned many aspects of my brother's amazing remodel in La Jolla. She has a true gift. She doesn't just think of the regular cool tips but goes beyond, An example of this is a bathroom where the tile behind the sink goes from floor to ceiling The minute people walk in there they all comment on how amazing it looks. I also really respect Kristen becasue she is mindful of working with your financial parameters. She is truly a gifted professional.

Installations Etc.

I first met Kristin several years ago when she called and asked about installing some window treatments in a beach house she was working on. She was extremely pleasant to work with and most interested to determine an installers perspective on how the treatments she intended to use would work. She provided me with the details of what she and the client wanted and then in several weeks we met again for the installation. Kristin was a delight to work with and she has been a wonderful client for many years. She is most thoughtful and determined to provide the ultimate design experience for her clients. A pleasure to work with!

Kristin has worked with us to make our home a more updated, comfortable and beautiful one. She is skilled at pulling together different tastes to create stunning outcomes. My husband has modern and contemporary tastes that sometimes conflict with my more colorful and traditional preferences, but Kristin's has an innate ability to please us both. We initially hired Kristin to update our bedroom with new paint, furniture and bedding and within a year of that project she started a complete kitchen remodel that we absolutely love. She is currently working on a bathroom remodel in our home and has also created an office for my husband's in a cool 60's retro look that seriously makes it the best office at his firm! We highly recommend Kristin, her eye for excellence and professionalism will exceed all your expectations.

We hired Kristin for our 3000 sq ft condo on ocean in california.She work with us on designs for the interior and huge front door.We pretty much gutted the inside and started all over.She not only work with us on designs but also handled the contractors and made sure they did a timely and professional job and made sure they did not over promise to get the work .You can see some of her work on her web site. Kristin did such a ggod job we hired her to work on a 5000 sq ft home in Las Vegas.Again she work well with us on the designs and being a new area for her (las Vegas )she was able to again find dependable contractors to get the work done to our satisfaction and on a timely matter. Kommenteret: What stain was used on the cabinets?This is a custom stain on rift cut oak. It's a very light golden pecan shade. You may have to experiment to get the correct color.
