Words can’t even describe how grateful and pleased I am that Susan and her team at Savvy took me on in the final stages of my home remodel to bring it to the finish line. The company name is beyond fitting- Susan’s ability to understand me and my needs in just a 20min consult, then turn & translate that to her team is truly a GIFT is what makes them just “Savvy”. They were able to dive into a project, from which they did not start with at the beginning and easily to jump in to learn what I was after & most importantly what I was missing. My only “issue” was NOT choosing to hire them from the start to work with all the way through :) I honestly just can’t say enough about their approach to truly get to know their client’s priorities and how they function in their home space. I recently had the pleasure of working with Savvy Interiors, and I can't express enough how delighted I am with the entire experience. They always gave us a weekly update, which I really appreciated. As with any remodel, we anticipated a few obstacles and moments of disagreement. Projects like these can get emotional and I appreciate the Savvy team for letting me be candid and honest with them. Susan and her team guided us through each hurdle. I think for me, the only thing I would change and this might be a personal preference, would be to consider physically mapping out furniture in the space with tape or markers. Despite advanced design programs, this hands-on approach ensures a practical understanding of functionality and fit. Seeing it in the actual space offers better reference for a seamlessly integrated design. Working with Susan and her team felt like collaborating with friends who genuinely cared about bringing our vision to life. The connection was instant, and it made the entire process enjoyable. Their attention to detail and creative flair truly transformed our space into something beyond our imagination. Big thank you to Romy and Roupen. They were absolutely wonderful to work with. The bar, in particular, stands as a testament to their design skills being absolutely picture-perfect. The joy of seeing guests walk in and audibly express 'wow,' especially from those who are repeat visitors, is absolutely music to my ears. We've received nothing but praise. When we did the bar reveal I just wanted to hug the bar and everything in there. It's absolutely beautiful. I have renovation blues and would love to do another. Thank you Savvy team!

We collaborate and provide stonework for Savvy projects on a weekly basis. Together we are able to work on multiple jobs at any given time. Their organization as General Contractors and ease of communication is unparalleled and make the simultaneous projects possible. We have the pleasure of communicating with not only with the owner, Susan (who is always hands on) but also each one of the team members, and without exception they are truly a group of kind, hardworking individuals. They all come together seamlessly to provide Design and General Contracting services at one place. They create beautiful spaces and facilitate the experience for their clients (and subcontractors) with streamlined processes and clear work orders.

We used Savvy to renovate our kitchen in south OC. We mostly worked with Kailee but worked with others on the team as well. Kailee was amazing to work with and was definitely our preferred designer at Savvy. Everyone is very responsive and professional. We did a design only and hired our own construction team. Their design was fantastic and they thought of things as homeowners we wouldn’t have thought of. The layout and flow of the kitchen works great for us. They provided renderings which we gave to our construction team. They did a nice job working with us initially on selecting/pricing materials which helped set up the whole process. They are certainly experts in design. Sometimes we felt they weren’t very personable but at the end of the day they did what they promised and gave us an amazing design. We hope to work with Kailee again on future projects.

Susan & Co. have been amazing to work with over the years and always help to make our lives as easy as possible. Organized & detailed. Always putting out fabulous spaces and just a pleasure to work with. Steven is an amazing project manager and the design staff are always great. Love you guys :)

Savvy Interiors did a fantastic job in both design and renovation construction management for my Townhome. I was an out of town owner and all coordination between the design team and construction team was flawless. I received weekly updates including photos of the work as it progressed. Construction stayed on schedule an all scheduled deliveries were coordinated by my designer. I can’t give the team high enough marks, my end product was exactly what had been presented and is beautiful.

The house is so beautiful the videos and pictures didn’t do it justice. I’m so happy! I was holding back tears looking at everything!! It’s absolutely perfect. Thank you so much for all of your hard work and dealing with us the last year haha! Lit a dream being here with the baby ❤️

Susan and her team are A+ DESIGN: I was really nervous about figuring out what I liked and making decisions - I am classic paralysis by analysis. Susan and her team REALLY made it simple for us. Their design presentations nailed almost everything we needed in the space we had to work with. Savvy listened in great detail every time we spoke and along with our inspiration and their professional skills and knowledge, designed a BEAUTIFUL kitchen that flowed with our house and lifestyle. They were great about keeping functionality in mind (3 kids) but allowed us to have this masterpiece in our house that is the center of this busy family. Susan and her team used their knowledge to let us know what would work - and what wouldn’t all the while making it gorgeous. BUDGET: Money is always a sensitive topic. You hear the horror stories about renovating and people running about of money. We addressed the budget in great detail and I am here to tell you that Savvy stuck to the budget 100% (on the other hand my husband and I might have decided to change a few things for a splurge here and there - and Susan and her team always made sure that we were aware of the budget change BEFORE it happened). COMMUNICATION: One of my absolute FAVORITE things about Savvy Interiors is their promise for good communication. Susan has made this a priority for herself, her designers and her team. They have a masterful system of communication which I was appreciative of. It made it so easy to always know what was going on, when people would be there, what was being done, what was coming next, etc. There was never an unreturned phone call, email or text. Every question I asked was answered and answered in detail - all parties involved were always up to date on the latest. QUALITY: TOP NOTCH QUALITY - that’s it. The craftsmanship of my kitchen is top notch. The materials used are all great. Every single worker that came into our home was respectful of our time and space - read that again - EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. They all had pride in their craft and it shows in our result. I will tell you, that once it was complete I was a little sad they would be leaving - as I got to know them and they felt like family! HONESTY: Anyone that has every done any project to their house knows that it doesn’t come without hiccups. I am sure we would all love to do a remodel with the perfect path - not one single life issue or construction hiccup along the way - but that’s not reality. I KNOW if I had tried to do this without Susan and her team - the amount of problems would have been EXPONENTIAL to what occurred. Hiring a design team does NOT mean that this will not happen - it’s construction. We had one - maybe two - issues during the process and it was handled right away. People weren’t dodging phone calls or messages - going missing for days - or not addressing it. It was discussed, handled and made right. 10/10 - Do it! Choose Savvy!

I found Savvy Interiors by reading an article on Kitchen Trends with one of Savvy's kitchen remodel as the cover picture on Houzz. I loved the unique design and lucky for me, Savvy was located in San Diego. After reading all the great reviews, I thought to myself that this is the type of design build firm that I wanted for my kitchen, family room, staircase, dining room and office remodel. What I appreciate so much about Savvy is the attention to detail from start to finish. From budget determination, design process and then construction, all details are locked in before demo. The team at Savvy excels in communication and customer service. Anytime I had a question or concern, they responded quickly. I really felt that Susan and her team really care about your project and they want you to be happy with the results. I have to give a big kudos to the construction team that worked on my project. A fine group of professionals who are respectful and trust worthy. My neighbors complimented them on how quiet, clean and friendly they were! When you commit to a home remodel process, you are putting your trust into the firm you hire. Savvy Interiors has earned my trust and I will most definitely will work with them and recommend them for future projects.

Remy Jones helped my mother and father with paint selections for their home and did an absolutely fantastic job! We needed to let the painter know our choices and in less than a week, Remy had the color story all ready to go and it was beautiful! She really listened to what they wanted and was able to come up with ideas and options efficiently. She also has an opinion (which is so important!) but shares it in a way that is informative and kind. We are so excited to see how it all looks once it is done and can't recommend Remy enough! You saved the day Remy!

I am very happy I found Savvy Interiors. I had been thinking about what I wanted to do with my house for a while but when I was able to get started, I knew I needed help to visualize the final project. My project involved painting the whole house, replacing all the flooring, and remodeling the kitchen and two bathrooms. Vanessa and Phoebe had good ideas on what to do but listened to me when I was looking for something different on a particular point. In a project with this many moving parts, the order of when things got done was important. The contractors had to work well together and they did. I stayed in the house during the work and was concerned about the house staying functional for me. Some of the kitchen appliances were moved around as the work progressed but I was able to use my kitchen, my laundry, and at least one bathroom throughout the project. I was never worried about having the contractors in my home. And they answered all of my questions about their work. Now that the project is completed, I look at the transformation in my house and smile.

When I first contacted Susan and team about my kitchen, I had no idea what I wanted nor how much I wanted to do. They did an incredible job helping me through the entire experience, suggesting different design elements, and a number of different possibilities all throughout the process. I was thrilled with the outcome and never could have envisioned it from the beginning. I must admit I was hesitant about how the process would go and it was very smooth. They continually kept me up to date on the schedule and it was finished on time with no major issues. I can't thank them enough for the experience and the beautiful kitchen that resulted from it!

When we set out to find a designer for our kitchen/family room remodel, we knew we wanted someone who could handle both the aesthetic and design component as well as the GC side of the equation. Susan and Savvy Interiors fit the bill! She and her team were amazing to work with. From the very first meeting when we discussed our vision, we could tell that Susan was fully in command of the business and was someone whom we could trust -- from listening to our "wants" to finding the best contractors and suppliers to her exquisite taste and understanding of the design/build process, we were confident that our project was in good hands. Throughout the process, we were kept apprised daily of what was happening at the house (we moved out temporarily), were sent status updates and photos and kept in the loop. We felt like we had a good open line of communication with them (which is critical!) and were impressed with how seamlessly things went given that we were in the middle of a pandemic (demo began in July!). Of course, there were some pandemic-related material/furniture delays and a couple of hiccups (I can't imagine a remodel not having a couple TBH), but the team at Savvy responded quickly and gracefully to each and we couldn't be more excited with the end result.

Susan and her team worked patiently with my husband and I, helping to guide us through the design process. We updated all interior and exterior paint, all flooring (wood and carpet) and created livable and functional spaces throughout our house. Susan and her team transformed our home into a bright, fresh, and comfortable space. It must be mentioned, that everyone at Savvy was easy to work with, punctual, and had a quick response time to emails and phone calls. I feel grateful to have found Susan and Savvy!

I love my new office! Working with Savvy’s design team was easy and Phoebe made the entire process a breeze. I had very specific ideas for my photography business’ new office and how it needed to blend with the existing reception area. We had Savvy Interiors help us with the design and installation of our small home office. Susan and Savannah designed a space that is not only beautiful, but maximizes storage. They created a stylish, elegant built-in area, with a custom-built desk, that suits our needs perfectly! The installation process went smoothly, and Savannah constantly kept us informed about contractors’ work schedules. All of Savvy’s contractors did quality work, were professional, and friendly. We are so happy with the office result, that we are planning on having Savvy Interiors help us with the rest of our home.

My kitchen and family room built-ins are magnificent! I think I have pretty good taste but I could have never pulled this together myself. Vanessa worked with me on 2 projects and she was a joy to collaborate with. I had a lot of my own opinions and inspirations. Vanessa was agreeable, but she would never hesitate to give me a hard, "no," if she needed to overrule one of my ideas. My floors were complicated (to me), and Vanessa never wavered in her recommendation. The flooring turned out to be magnificent, a real show stopper. All of the contractors were professional and easy to have in the house. They all take great pride in their work and it shows. They were always willing to move something, change something, etc. I'm not going to lie, it's not easy having workers in the kitchen for close to 2 months, but it's well worth the investment. Everything is so pulled together. I've never worked with anyone before and the difference is dramatic. Everyone in this entire organization are super trustworthy.

I had such an amazing experience interning with Savvy Interiors over the summer! This incredible team of women is extremely talented and knowledgeable. In the midst of being extremely busy, they always took the time to instruct me and help me grow as a designer. I learned so much about the design process through shadowing the team and being able to create my own designs as well. This team has such a strong passion and love for interior design, and it shows in all the work they do. The spaces they create and the relationships they maintain with their clients are truly personal and unique. Savvy Interiors is a collaborative, creative, and fun environment that I have had the honor of working at for the last couple of months.

We have worked with Savvy interiors on multiple projects during the last 5 years and we have been so happy that we always come back. Most recently, we hired Savvy to renovate 4 secondary bathrooms and to help us furnish/design our new home. I want to thank Savvy Interiors for transforming our outdated kitchen into a coastal modern design that looks like it should be in a magazine. Susan personally worked with us to weigh the pros and cons of updating vs. complete remodel and designed something that fit our vision and budget. She also worked with us to design the surround for our see-through fireplace and an awkard enrtryway that now is a focal point of the house. I am someone who prides themself in managing projects and thought I could do much of this myself. I questioned the added cost of a general contractor. Going through the remodel experience and working with Savvy made me realize the value that this level of coordination brings. There were at times four different contractors in my home and each dependent on the work the other was doing. There was no way that I could have coordinated all of this work myself and if I had tried, it would have likely cost me more. I also appreciate the relationship Susan has with her contractors and the care she has taken in choosing them. True professionals who I never questioned being in my home alone or if they would do a high quality job. They were excellent! Thank you Susan and the Savvy team! We hired Susan to remodel our kitchen/family room. Susan and her team did an absolutely amazing job. She gave me my dream kitchen and more. She asked questions and listened to what I was looking for and then put together a story board with various options and brought them to life in a way I never could have imagined. We are SO pleased with how everything went - from start to finish. Not only did we create a beautiful bathroom with quality materials but the people we were worked with ALL such high-quality people was well. Each and every vendor sent our way was incredible at their trade. I feel we got the crème de la crème of highly-skilled professionals. And, our designer/project manager Haley....what a wonderful experience it was to work with her. Her project management and communication skills were excellent. She was ALWAYS accessible either via phone, text or email and was able to troubleshoot issues quickly. There were a few design plans we had to change based on how the flow of the project was going but Haley was so fast to make the needed changes so we could move on to the next phase of the project without prolonging the schedule. It was our very first experience doing any major home remodeling project and I'm so glad we decided to go with the full-service route. Although my husband and I are intelligent people, being handy with plumbing and electrical is not our forte! I'm SO glad we left it to the professionals to do their job and go above and beyond. Compared to most projects they work on I know our project was small but Savvy made us feel like our project was the only one that mattered.

The reveal was absolutely Magical. We are forever grateful for this opportunity of a life time. Susan and her team completely remodeled our old kitchen with brand new cabinets, new flooring, fixtures, sink, backsplash and new counters. She took a dark, dreary, not very functional kitchen and turned it into something beautiful, bright, cheery and at the same time kid-friendly. I have 5 kids and wanted something beautiful, that would hold up to their daily shenanigans. Her contractors were all amazing. I trusted them in my home and they were all highly knowledgeable and very respectful. I would have Susan do it all over again and look forward to fixing up the rest of the house with her!

Susan and her team did a great job with our kitchen remodel! It feels like a brand new kitchen. We refaced the cabinets, built a new island, and transformed a small desk area with cabinets into a bar area with a wine fridge. The quality of the work is fantastic and all the contractors were respectful of our house and highly talented. It was great being able to rely on Savvy from start to finish creating exactly what we wanted in our home.

My wife and I have worked with Savvy Interiors in the past on small spaces and when we bought our new home, which needed extensive renovations, we knew there was no other firm to call! One of the several projects was the kitchen. The house was built in 2003 as a Spanish Bungalow with heavy Tuscan accents. We wanted to keep the integrity of the architecture and create a more modern "Spanish Revival" space. Crisp, bright, updated...but with touches of Spanish flair. The Savvy team understood out desires perfectly. This decision was the best we could have made. They worked with us to pick out materials and design a space that made sense for our family. They were helpful in every arena...from adding small touches like adding a trash pullout and adding inches to the island countertop...to larger decisions like using a graphic tile as a backsplash and using reclaimed wood throughout the space. When taking on a huge renovation (or even a small one), you need a team of people that not only know what they're doing but that you can trust, lean on, vent to...especially when your patience is thin! Susan was upfront from the beginning about the hardships we will face, it is construction after all! There were hiccups, leaks, human errors, last minute changes that needed to be made and delays...but using a team like Savvy, it was dealt with in a timely fashion, and professionally. Savvy's contractors are the best. The work with each other all the time, many who have worked with Savvy for decades, and that is KEY when taking on a project that requires several contractors. I could not imagine using contractors who did not know each other or work together well. This space is a testament to true craftsmanship by the best contractors available and staying loyal to the architecture of the house......led by a professional design team! I took possession of my new home on Jan 10th. Susan had arranged for the remodel to begin the next day. She employees a loyal group of contractors, plumbers, painters etc. so she was able to keep my project moving forward in a timely fashion. There was never a time I could not communicate directly with Susan or through her able assistant Jullian. I was able to make most of the decisions necessary for the remodel in one visit to her well appointed studio just off I57 Her lead contractor for my project "Michael" is absolutely the best. Very patient and very reliable. If you need a tie breaker when deciding on your design co-ordinator, Susan donates many many hours to a non profit she started that designs and builds cool bedrooms that bring smiles and happiness at no cost to the family for children suffering from cancer

I have used Savvy for a couple of small projects and both times I was very happy. They have a small team of designers with Susan overseeing if needed/desired. THey have a storefront which I love so you can touch/feel. The designers have great ideas and are very responsive. Prices are good as well. Vanessa and Phoebe helped transform our loft from a kids playroom to an area where the entire family can enjoy spending time! They had some great design ideas with a bold wallpaper and a mid-century modern look that I love every time I walk in or by the room. They also helped us refresh our master bedroom from a dated, dark look, to a bright, beautiful and tranquil room with pops of color. It was exactly what I wanted. We had a few issues with items ordered along the way and all were addressed by Vanessa and Phoebe quickly. We are still working through a few accessories to put that perfect final touch!

As a journeyman finish carpenter/cabinetmaker, I have enjoyed many years working with Savvy Interiors, Susan Wintersteen, and the contracting/design team there. It is a valued association with the staff as well as the fellow specialty contractors that makes my personal experience with Savvy rewarding. The scope of the projects and the clients that are served are exceptional. Working with Savvy, as part of a team of other contractors, I enjoy the creativity and leadership, coupled with the respect given towards my work and the work of the team. As contractors, we communicate between one another, and are able to arrange our work around one another to the benefit of all, most importantly, the client. Savvy provides that luxury to us with a steady guiding hand in all processes. Savvy's clients are wonderful to work for, and that makes every project a pleasure.

Over the past several years we have used Savvy and team for a variety of projects, anywhere from a simple staging project to a full house remodel/redesign. All of our experiences have been great! Susan and team are conscientious of time and budget and always willing to present a variety of options to ensure that you are happy with the end result. My husband and I don’t agree on everything (surprise!) but Susan is always able to take our different preferences and blend them together into something that we both end up loving! Over the years I am pretty sure we have met and worked with all of the Savvy contractors (paint, tile, counter tops, cabinets, wood work, electrical, general contractor, etc) and honestly can’t say enough about them. They are all very pleasant to work with, honest, reliable and reasonably priced, which I think it hard to come by in this industry. What originally started as a small staging job has turned into years of continued projects. After our first experience we were amazed by the difference a well decorated house/space makes. Not only does it help the selling process, but also in the day to day grind. Coming home to a well decorated house/space is like a breath of fresh air and makes even the worst days a little bit brighter. And Susan and her team are awesome at would they do…I would (and have) refer them over and over again

I am an old woman who doesn't want to get old ....but time has had its way. I asked Susan to help me remodel a 30 year old one level twin home so I could age in place. She enthusiastically took on my project even though I had a tight time line and modest budget. We cranked out my wish list in her Inside Savvy design store in about 1 hour....she had samples of everything I needed to quickly put my "want list" together. She is one of the gifted ones who listens. Susan is truly thrifty with words and long on listening. I felt she was able to read my mind as she quickly pulled out samples of flooring, cabinet styles, colors, cabinet fixtures, wall coverings and counter top materials which made it easy for me to move through this step of the remodel. The next step was an on site walk through of my space. I threw her a curve at this juncture asking for a fireplace be to be buried and some walls removed. My demo started mid January and I moved into my place March 1. Susan and her gifted team of contractors completely gutted the interior of my space replacing everything except one bathtub within that 6 week period. The time line and project were completed as promised. Special stuff I observed while working with Susan: 1. She works with a personal assistant, Cindy who records every interview taking notes of everything that is agreed to...what is added or deleted. In my opinion minimized mistakes and misunderstandings and made followup so effective. 10+ on followup and communications. 2. Her subs are super!! Neat, clean and so talented in their crafts. Not only are they skilled but they were consistently on time and work was completed in a very timely manner. I did have a few issues with this phase of the project, but this has been addressed and I am satisfied with Susan's guarantee that all will be cleared up. Special heads up for Kerry and Michael. Everyone was wonderful, but these two guys were so helpful!! 3. Accounting was very detailed and monies and expenditures were disclosed in writing. 4. Susan kept on budget. However, that being said, I did add a few things in the mix which increased the cost of the remodel. But, I did that, not Susan.. 5. Susan saved me money and time. I truly appreciate her and her very helpful insights as to which materials and vendors to use. I would not hesitate to recommend Susan and her Savvy Interiors Team. She is fabulous and only works with very honest and wonderful team members.

Susan and her team did a great job with our project! It feels like a brand new house. New floors, paint, shutters, new paint on our kitchen cabinets, new countertops, cabinet hardware, painted or stained all of the honey cabinets and stairwell banister. Susan even turned a potential disaster (sheer wall where we didn't expect one) into the perfect design solution for a walk in pantry and coat closet/mud room shelving unit. It was great being able to rely on Savvy from start to finish - design and arranging all contractors/subs. All of the subs were very respectful of our house. Only downside is that now I'm itching to redo the few rooms we left out of this project!

I contacted Susan for some ideas for colors and decor for my home in North Carolina. I had just moved there and did not know a soul. I have seen Susan's work in friends and acquaintances homes, and love her design style. Susan was more than helpful in informing me of colors and ideas to decorate on my own. If I had been in San Diego, I would 100% have used her services. She has an amazing sense of design. She is also so caring. She is continually giving back to her community in any way she can, even decorating rooms for individuals suffering from cancer. Wonderful person and designer. We recently purchased a tuscan-style home with beautiful architecture and a wonderful lay-out, but the majority of the interior was a more traditional, darker, older style than we prefer. We wanted to make the home "ours," which meant a more colorful, mediterranean aesthetic, along with some very personalized design aspects and finishing touches. Susan did exactly that, and with more creativity and attention to detail than we could have ever envisioned. Susan is a brilliant designer with a genuine eye for design. She and the Savvy team took general ideas and concepts that we knew we wanted to incorporate and ran with them. By truly listening to our ideas and honoring our family's personal style, preferences, and practical needs, Susan was able to design and create spaces that were perfectly suited to us. In total, Susan took essentially a blank canvas of a 6000+ square foot 7-bedroom home and designed and decorated 1 master suite, 2 children's bedrooms, a loft, hideout, and playroom for our kids, 2 guest rooms, an office, a living room, a family room, and a dining room. All of the bedrooms required new flooring, paint, wall-coverings, electrical work, furnishing, and décor. Susan's impressive knowledge and experience, along with her access to professionals who are truly skilled at their trade ensured we had the ability to select from top-quality, reasonably-priced materials and that installation would be done in a timely, professional, and flawless manner. Susan has an incredible staff who works with her at Savvy. While she has the uncanny ability to be in 8 places at one time, in those rare moments when she could not physically be at our site, she made sure that all aspects of the day's work were going smoothly and proceeding without issue. I recently worked with Susan and Savvy Interiors on the tile and carpet flooring in my newly constructed home. We had the builder put in the standard options and then upgraded after close with all new distressed wood-look white porcelain tile downstairs and a herringbone carpet for the stairs and upstairs areas. I had been expecting the whole process, especially the upgrade/tear out process, to be overwhelming, time consuming, labor intensive, and costly. I was pleasantly surprised when working with Susan and her team at Savvy turned out to be an incredibly smooth, creative, manageable, and fun experience. I had never used an interior design service before, as I consider myself to be creative and wanted to be my own “designer”. So I came to the table with a lot of my own ideas and an already pretty defined aesthetic. But Susan was a true professional in that she listened acutely and without ego, and then supported me with fresh concepts that not only incorporated my look & feel but infused it with a complimentary energy. Decisions were made, materials were ordered, contractors were scheduled and work began. Savvy's prices were reasonable (so much so that the idea of opting out of upgrades with the builder became a serious NO-BRAINER), their vendors were amazing, their contractors were time notch, meticulous, and on-time, and the quality of the finished product was impeccable. I also cannot underestimate how valuable Susan's well-earned advice was in avoiding problems and steering clear of common and costly mistakes. Susan and the Savvy interiors team facilitated and designed a top to bottom bedroom remodel for us. New flooring, new baseboards, new paint, wallpaper and furniture and decor. Susan and her team take great care when working with clients. From the start, communication was on point. I always knew when to expect contractors or the Savvy team. They use top quality products, rich color and texture and took my kids wishes for their rooms and went above and beyond (even incredible custom graphics for the art on their walls) My kids were so happy with their rooms and so am I. I came to Susan at Savvy with a big project, but I didn't have a lot of direction of what I wanted as I am terrible at knowing where to start. Susan was able to work with me quickly to develop and overall look and feel for my house. Susan is passionate about her work and her service to her clients and it SHOWS. Susan is honest, direct, efficient, and has a great eye for design. Susan's access to, and handling of, contractors (tile, paint, counters, carpet, cabinets, electrician) was INVALUABLE. I had people coming to my house to provide quotes as soon as I said I wanted to start. All of the contractors were amazing-they did fantastic work and were dependable. If I ever had questions about what was happening, Susan was readily able to answer them and dealt directly with the contractors if additional things needed to be done. I fully trust and expect Susan to provide me with the best service and price around. I appreciate that Susan focuses not only on the quality of products, but she is also considerate of the budget and cost of items. I have worked with other designers in the past who were slow, used up endless hours "looking" for fabrics, furniture, etc, and could never tell me how much things would cost. I worked with Susan to install all new floors in our downstairs areas. I wanted a durable, waterproof, affordable, long lasting wood look floor. I ended up having Savvy Interiors install Coretec wood look viynl flooring and it looks amazing. The best part is that this flooring was installed right over the top of my tile and hard wood so there was no demo costs or mess. It was quick and easy. The team of installers were excellent as well. A very positive experience overall.

First let me say that my experience with Vanessa at Savvy Interiors has been nothing but positive. My project was not a big remodel, but just help with putting my master bedroom and bathroom together. I was just lost, and needed help in achieving my vision. She never made me feel like I was any less of a client due to size of my project. She was alway very prompt for every appointment, and was more than willing to work around my work schedule. In November, 2015, my 13yr old daughter was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma cancer. Susan Wintersteen heard about Kasey’s illness and rallied the community of Ranch Penasquitos and adjacent areas to renovate both Kasey’s room and my younger daughters room. Susan and her crew from Savvy Interiors consulted with Kasey and her sister and came up with design plans that matched their ideas. Susan then transformed their ideas into amazing reality that has bolstered both girls spirits through tough times. Savvy Interiors attention to detail and coordination of contractors was gold-star with little or no disruption to the family. We initially hired Savvy to help us put together a "master plan" for our house. The first hour consultation was invaluable. It probably saved us 40+ hours of endless searching and trips to stores/design centers. Susan shared thoughts about the types of materials and design treatments we could apply to each room in our house, tips and ideas that we'd never have known or had time to figure out on our own. We quickly put the ball in motion to renovate our kitchen, living room, dining room and spare bathroom. Savvy Interiors completed a beautiful renovation of my teen sons room. It was complete with carpeting, paint & wallpaper, all new furniture, lighting and accessories. We bought a house in La Jolla back in Sept 2013 and we've been working with Susan and Shannon over at Savvy Interiors since then. We did a whole upgrade to the house: new custom wood work in the entryway, with custom cushion, new lighting, then we also updated the kitchen with new counter tops, new faucet and repainted the cabinets. Finally, we basically redid the living room from the electrical to the paint and also the new entertainment system. Did I mention she even designed a new fireplace from scratch? it was a a challenge since the layout was somewhat weird but it looks absolutely stunning. Original and brings so much to our living room. Susan is always very responsive and it's really a pleasure to work with her. I have a slight OCD where everything has to be perfect, and everything turned out even better than perfect!! I was Savvy Interiors first intern. For the whole month of January I got to experience what it was like to be in the business of interior design. I couldn't have asked for a better company to work for. They all were so accepting of me and were a delight to be with every day. There work every day was organized and incorporated many different details I never would have thought of. They treated all their clients and myself with the up most respect and only had nice words to say. Not only were they as individuals wonderful, but there work was truly spectacular. The way they worked with all different design styles and were able to always finish with a beautiful final product. They were experienced and passionate about the work they did. Savvy Interiors decorated my bedroom. We had to remodel due to a flood in our master bathroom, I described the type of look I wanted and Susan along with her team nailed it. I am very happy and my husband who had no idea we were working on this decorating project is happy as well. Our room is beautiful and comfortable and we love it!

Savvy assisted with our Master bedroom redo including furniture and bedding, on suite. They were professional yet fun and had ideas I never would have come up with on my own. We decided to do a cosmetic remodel of our kitchen (new flooring, counters, and painting our oak cabinets) and have had the pleasure of working with Savvy Interiors and Susan Wintersteen. I was referred to Susan Wintersteen by a realtor/friend who had seen Susan’s work first hand. We had never used an interior decorator before and I was not sure what to expect. Susan and her staff met with us and determined what type of work was needed. She made recommendations that allowed us to update our kitchen, while being cognizant of our budget. She took us to various vendors to choose the materials and made recommendations that helped us narrow down the choices available to us, and suggested colors and material combinations that were unique and gave our kitchen a custom look. There was no push to expand the scope of the project and I really appreciate that. She consulted with us on every decision and really listened to our desires and concerns about the project, and made suggestions that created a beautiful, functional kitchen that reflects our tastes. We are thrilled with the final result.

Savvy Interiors helped design all of the interior of our major remodel on our home. They designed the layout of all the rooms, cabinetry, counter tops, and all of the materials, paints, and flooring that was used. They basically designed the interior of our home. After the home was finished, they also helped select fabrics, furniture, window coverings, etc. We are so pleased with our home and do not know what we would have done without Savvy Interiors.

My name is Elisha Rimestad and I am the Lead Pastor at First Baptist Church of Mira Mesa in San Diego, California. Our campus buildings needed a major face-lift, from a dark golden brown and pumpkin orange Spanish feel to more of a coastal, beachy vibe. We also desperately needed to update our kid’s ministry classrooms as well as our kitchen and multi-purpose room. And so I contacted Susan Wintersteen of Savvy Interiors, and thank God I did. Susan and her project manager, Marla Vandling, did a fabulous job overseeing this project for us. They spent time helping us think through colors and themes for our campus projects. Susan and her staff Marla and Shannon at Savvy Interiors are very professional and have a keen sense of style and trends to make a home welcoming when showing as listed for sale. I work with them as a Realtor and it is important to stage the homes for sale without them looking "staged". Personally I used them for my own home when I got the bug to make my house look as nice as they make my listings look. They always have great suggestions for my clients and implement them perfectly. Staging helps me sell the home faster and at a better price.

We bought a house and renovated it before we moved in, and used Savvy Interiors to help us. We added all new floors and remodeled the kitchen, all of which were done by Savvy. They did a great job and worked under our tight time constraints, which was great. We had 1 month to do it all so that we could move in, and Savvy got it done, Even though our house wasn't brand new, if felt brand new thanks to their help. I'd recommend them to anyone needing work done.

I do not have enough good things to say about Susan W and Savvy Interiors. I hired Susan to vamp up and re-design my room. She did an amazing job with incorporating my already existing pieces of furniture and saved me a pleasing amount of money :). All of Susan's employee's are punctual, professional, and a joy to work with. My favorite part of the job has to be my custom bed. Susan's custom bed prices are well worth the quality! The bed was made, delivered, and assembled in a timely manner and is beautiful. I always receive compliments on the elegance and style of the bed. Hi Susan, Thank you, thank you, thank you. I LOVE my drapes, the quality construction, the rod and the installation. First of all, the rod and finials are AMAZING. You said they were gorgeous, but until I saw them for myself I truly didn't understand just how gorgeous. And I love how easily they open and close! Your installer is the best. He installed the rod and drapes yesterday and the drapes were too long so he took them back to be re- hemmed. He told me he had trouble sleeping because he didn't think the rod brackets were strong enough to hold the weight and was trying to figure out how to fix it . So today, we talked about his concerns and he installed additional support that will be virtually inivisable. He is so conscientious and professional. Service like that is rare and such a joy when you get it. And yes I can make drapes, but I am such an amateur compared to the quality of these curtains. I now know when to call in the expert (you!!). Susan, thanks so much. I enjoy working with you and am thank full that you are willing to work with this "do it yourselfer". My husband and I get great satisfaction from the challenge of engineering and making things ourselves. However, your experience and great design sense make our projects a thousand times better. As a working mom of three with limited time, money and an average (at best) design eye - I needed an efficient and effective design expert who could meet with me on my schedule and make things happen quickly. Susan and her Savvy team delivered. After quickly gaining an understanding of my tastes, the Savvy Interiors team transformed both my living and dining rooms from bland, embarrassing eye sores....to beautiful and functional entertainment centerpieces. Susan was referred to us by our builder, as we custom built a new home. Working with Susan early in the process, she was able to help us select our flooring and tile options as well as coordinate the look and flow of our home. Susan also helped us design custom tile work for our entry. As we got closer to move in, we had many items left to purchase and worked with Susan and her husband John who is a licensed contractor. We installed new carpet and hardwood floor after closing which saved us quite a bit on our budget over the builder’s costs. As we prepared to move in we used Susan's services for paint, carpet, furniture selection, lighting and window coverings. We've been very happy not only with the design elements that she has helped us with but also with the overall customer service and respect of our time and our budget. We would strong recommend bringing in a designer in the earliest phases of building to help with the cohesiveness of the entire project.

I am the marketing director for Kindred Real Estate. When we accept to list a home for sale everyone here treats the listing as it were their own home - and we would all want top dollar for our home, right? We recently had a listing that we felt could get more money to the sellers if it were completely staged - we have used other companies but none have been as amazing as Susan and her team. The plus: - Very professional and friendly organization - Very quick and accommodating (From start to finish in 4 days including weekend) - Furniture is very nice (no marks, looks new, delivered wrapped) - The team was fast (even helped move some of old stuff to the garage!) - Great follow up The reality: - can be pricey Since our company pays for the staging, not the owner of the home, price is a big factor. Savvy Interiors is not the least expensive, but the saying you get what you pay for rings true with this company - they are A+.

We've used Savvy Interiors for a variety of projects over the years and each time we have been thrilled with the results. Each time we started out with a very general idea of what we wanted. Working with Savvy we were able to clarify our design and make the critical fabric and finish decisions needed to pull the design together. With our busy schedules, the consistent communication throughout the process was key and the end result was fantastic each time.

I worked with Susan the owner from Saavy Interiors on a remodel. I recently purchased a new house and needed some help with paint, carpet, window treatments, furniture etc. Upon meeting her she told us that she would be able to do the work and meet our short timeline and complete the work by our move in date. We moved forward, met with her a few times and she helped us with color and paint selection. We liked her design advice, came up with a plan, but then came the execution...She said that she blocked some dates for the work to be completed using subcontractors. I received an estimate for carpet material from a supplier she uses where she gets a discount which would be passed along to us. I looked it over and the estimate seemed a bit high. To check it out I called a different carpet supplier and discovered that Saavy was charging over $1000 more! After inquiring about this to see if she could match the carpet price or just use the other supplier, Susan became defensive and said "they don't provide the same level of service" then sent me a letter stating that our scheduled dates for the carpet and paint is now booked for other clients and she does not have any openings for another 2 months. Saavy may have a good sense of design and can provide some helpful design ideas, but I would not recommend using them to execute any work. They overcharge for material without concern and are unable to keep their promises.

We purchased a new construction home and hired Savvy Interiors to assist with the decorating. Susan was great! She listened to what we wanted and stayed mindful of both our budget and our style preferences. Savvy has excellent contacts with all trades, and I was happy with everyone she recommended to help us see our vision come to fruition. All in all, it was a great collaboration and I would use Susan and Savvy Interiors again without hesitation!

I cannot say enough good things about Savvy Interiors. I bought a house two years ago that I took from completely tuscan to completely transitional with the help of Susan and her team. They have the ability to make your "dream board" come to life! Susan is a master at mixing and matching prints, colors and textures. She has incredible resources for custom furnishings and build ins... all within budget. I am so proud of my house, and I get compliments from all my guests.
