Schranghamer Design Group is a residential and interior design firm based in the Boston area. Commissions are undertaken for a wide range of clients with a focus on creating high quality spaces that are timeless and innovative. JOY SCHRANGHAMER Joy Schranghamer is a Principal and head interior designer of SDG. She has been working as an interior designer for major architectural and interior design firms since 1998 and founded Schranghamer Design Group in 2006. Joy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers, and was certified by the National Council for Interior Design Qualification in 2005. JEFF SCHRANGHAMER Prior to joining Schranghamer Design Group, LLC as a Principal, Jeff worked in offices specializing in high-end residential design since 1996. His experience, coupled with his enthusiasm for design are the foundation for a great level of attention to the specific detailing of materials and space, as well as his appreciation of the significance of each home to his clients. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Boston Architectural College. He is a member of The Institute of Classical Architecture and Art, and is also a regular guest critic at the Boston Architectural College.

I have worked with Shranghamer Design Group on a few projects and the experience has been a pleasure. When working with knowledgeable and experienced individuals, that understand the concept and process of construction and design, you can feel safe to build a relationship based on trust. As a contractor, dealing with a variety of people on different job sites, communication is the most important factor in completing the job with the least amount of stress and when working with Jeff and Joy, you can rest assured that the process will be seamless and smooth. They manage their projects from inception to completion with the same energy and enthusiasm as everyday was the first day on the job. Jeff and Joy are proud of their work and their design is an art which starts off as a plan and ends up as a masterpiece. I enjoy working with them on a professional level and look forward to working with them personally, as we prepare to design my family's new home. We look forward to a long lasting relationship, with a firm that displays the utmost professionalism, attention to detail and passion on every project.

It’s hard not to get enthusiastic about Jeff and Joy’s designs. They are a dynamic professional team. Joy understood our vision of a ‘hotel’ style. She is well connected to local upholsterers’, and custom drapery installers which helped put the final look together. Jeff designed and managed the construction site. He is detailed oriented and enthusiastic about his work. He dealt with conflicts when necessary, and always put our needs first. Jeff and Joy genuinely cared about our project. They transformed our outdated Brownstone and made it a contemporary modern space for us to enjoy. Thanks to Joy we no longer have ‘yellow gymnasium floors’. - Martha Jansen
