Under the eminent photo journalist, late Mr. T S Satyan, He was guided to explore the world of humanitarian photography. Under his tutelage, he developed an eye and frame for surreal images. He is a graduate of Shari Academy of Photography, Mumbai, mastered in Commercial Photography and Digital Imaging. An acclaimed International Award winner for a portrait ‘Eyes Never Age’ and winner of 5 international awards in the span of 3 years. He started a company Rays & Greys in 2009. Specialised in Architecture&Interiors, Fashion and Product photography. His works have been published in various international publications and Books.

Shamanth is really professional photographer with a great sense of space. He is very cooperative and patient. He is a perfectionist and that reflects on all his work. It has been a pleasure working with him everytime.

" Its only been a year, being associated with Shamanth. But we have been keen followers of his works since quite sometime which lead us to eventually work with him. After working him we can say Shamanth is extremely professional and committed to his work and delivers on time. Undoubtedly he is one of the best architectural photographers in India. Shamanth is highly skilled and a vary talented photographer. He has a very good understanding of light in architecture, which he captures very well in each of his shots. His eye for details and composition in his photographs not only bring out the architectural essence of any space, but also leave a trail of memories with the beholder. Shamanth was kind enough to show us some of his abstract fine art photography works. We must say each of them were breath taking, especially the Jaipur series. Well composed vibrant colors made the photographs look like impressionist paintings. His work speak for itself, our association with Shamanth has been extremely rewarding. "I have had an extremely rewarding association with Shamanth Patil who has over the past 4 years shot most of our work at Khosla Associates including projects like the Library House, Loft 38 and DPS Kindergarten School. I find Shamanth to be one of the most promising young architectural and interiors photographers in the country. Shamanth is instinctively talented and has the ability to bring out the strength in any architectural space via his skilled eye and technical competence. After seeing Shamanth Patil’s photo captures, I decided that our projects should be photographed by him and him alone. His attention to detail and flair for choosing the most flattering angles makes him a natural at architectural photography. We have to commend his patience and diligence as he will wait even for hours to get the right sky conditions to make that capture special. Till date, I have not been able to decide whether he is a photographer or a magician as all his captures are amazing and nothing short of magic !! I wish him all the very best in his future endeavours.
