Headland Construction is committed to providing a professional service to homeowners looking for a reputable, honest and hardworking construction team. We believe in environmentally sound building practices in all areas of construction. As owner and senior project manager, Mark Ellis is involved in all Headland Constructions projects from the beginning to completion in a hands-on manner. Mark draws his experience from years of onsite carpentry work along with a Degree from UBC (Political Science & Economics) and BCIT (Construction Management). Following BCIT Mark was employed by large Vancouver builder as a Project Coordinator where he learned the craft of managing all aspects of high quality builds. Continuing education though the Canadian Home Builders Association, Mark ensures all projects are built with the latest techniques and code requirements. Headland Construction is a company aimed at providing clients with high quality, knowledgeable construction services at competitive prices.

We are absolutely thrilled with the work of Mark and his entire team on the recent renovations to bed, bath and living room of our False Creek condo. From start to finish, every step was handled in a friendly, professional manner and with great attention to detail. Although we had tight timelines, Mark and his team were able to keep the project on time and on budget despite us making a few changes along the way. Invoicing was timely, clear and with complete information/receipts of any purchases. We are grateful to Mark, Aaron, Kai and the entire team for the care they put into the refresh of our condo. We look forward to working with them again when we're ready to make further upgrades in the future.

I cannot say enough good things about Mark and the team at Headland. To say they surpassed expectations doesn't even cover it. As we were in the planning phase, every time I mentioned to friends or family or acquaintances that we were about to start on a 4-month renovation process I was given smirks and knowing smiles and reassuring comments like "whatever the contractor said, double the cost and time". I've never worked with another contractor, but all I can say is that Headland was early by 1 week and almost bang on with the original budget (we ended up adding a few items so the total cost was more than originally planned). The quality of the work is stunning, the team went above and beyond, Mark is extremely responsive to phone calls, texts, and emails... there legitimately is no way I can think of that they could have made the experience better. My absolute highest recommendation. Go with Headland, you won't regret it!

Headland Construction is by far one of the best teams I have ever worked with. They are lovely to talk to, always available, work well as a team, very organized, transparent, great with budgeting and creating clear expectations, manage there site well and are simply just s pleasure to work with in all forms. As a designer I would say having the right team is key to any great project and Headland is one of the best!

We have recently had the pleasure of working with the Headland Construction team, and are extremely happy with the high quality work and efficiency they offer. Mark, Kai and Aaron did an outstanding job maintaining a clean, organized environment which allowed our internal team to continue with our day to day work with as little disruption as possible. They had the challenge of renovating our office space while we were actively working, and constantly displayed respect understanding, and offered a fantastic team attitude. They tackled the tight timelines with professionalism and met each deadline as needed. They were effective in their communication and ensured that each day, we knew what to expect with no surprises, all while checking in daily, updating us on progress and asking for feedback where needed. The 6 weeks flew by, with little to no disruption, and we are very pleased with the outcome and final work.

Mark, Kai and their young team did an amazing job on our Kitsilano, Vancouver renovation, and we would highly recommend them. Their professional approach, passion, honesty, problem solving and design assistants with some challenging issues really helped us through the process. The finishing wood work was of very high quality, and that comes from someone who is very particular...and a type A. The team of trades that Mark works with, are some of the best we have ever had, and we have done a number of major renovations in other houses. This young company is going places, and we wish them all the best.

Not only does Mark fully understand construction, he also understands the importance of a detailed budget and structured timelines. Mark Ellis and his team at Headland Construction did a terrific job on my recent (2016) kitchen and living room renovation. Mark is very pleasant, efficient, responsible and has a team of wonderful professional carpenters, builders and tradesmen he employs. He answers your questions quickly when 3rd parties (like the tiler, plumber, electrician) needs information. My father is an architect, so I am very particular, however, Headland Construction is equally oriented towards high quality construction and I am very happy to recommend Mark and Headland as an excellent company to work with. He also coordinated a roofing replacement for our 3 unit strata in Kitsilano and coordinated a renovation of my home office, and bedroom in 2014.
