BASEMENT SUBWAY STATION
Some of the client's subway photographs were blown up and inserted into the window wells to create depth and the illusion of more spaces. Daylit during the day, electric light takes over at nightfall. The concave, backlit light bar illuminates subway map signage and advertising. The game table, enlarged to accommodate 4 chairs comfortably is in front of the stainless steel desk. The back wall was faux painted to look like raw concrete found in subway stations. The pulley lamp, corrugated metal and stenciled signage add to the concept. Photography: Norman Sizemore
