BDAA National Design Awards 2017 - Architectural Window Systems
The clients, a young, growing family, required a house that was easy to live in, maximised the city view and best used the poor orientation of the block. The house wood need strongly zoned spaces for sleep, play and entertainment, as well as a workspace. A love of modern and contemporary design and the client's preference for a combination of finishes and textures allowed for a creative response to the brief. To take full advantage of the views all windows and doors in the property boast AWS: Vantage Windows, series 517 Residential Awning and Fixed, series 426 Front Glazed, and Series 618 Magnum Sliding Doors. Two custom silicone jointed corner windows were used to maximise the view. All double glazed units feature a Colorbond Monument Finish with custom black hardware.
