The PhineryThis cozy room off the kitchen was converted into a family room den with walk-out access to the garden. The french doors were painted black and new printed drapery panels were hung. A deep leather sofa was positioned behind a tufted upholstered ottoman. The TV was placed on a custom painted sideboard, which also provides overflow storage for the homeowner. Black and white photography, chunky knit accessories, and a jute rug complete the space.
High Tech CeilingScope: Stretch Ceiling – White Lacquer
This project could be called Shades of White as the Designer wanted only pure white throughout the apartment for the blue from the ocean to be the only surrounding color. By installing a white stretch ceiling the reflection gave the illusion of higher ceiling and also emphasized the blue from the reflection of the ocean.

Rick BThe room is designed to marry style and comfort. It draws its palette from the original art in the background. The rug is custom cut to fit the space and the drapery panels are hung high to emphasize the vaulted ceiling. The metal finishes, textured pillows and pops of red on the accent chairs finish it off.
