Rudloff Custom BuildersThe high ceiling of this lovely family room is enhanced by architectural mill-work which give this charming room an elegant and cozy feel.
Dormers above bring light into the the space, and the decorative ceiling adds scale and beauty to the room.
We can see that the focal point of the room is the stone fireplace which is flanked on both sides by a 24"x 24" picture window with built in shelves below. To further enhance the symmetry of the room are 2 large windows with half moon tops giving architectural interest and allow for light to stream across the room.

An inexpensive way to add character is to paint that dated brick you may have at your fireplace, we did just that, with 2 coats of a Zinner primer and high quality semi gloss white paint, the once dated fireplace got a makeover and blends perfectly in the space.

HiFi Forum GmbHDer Sound sollte mehrkanalig aber sehr audiophil sein. So entschied man sich für eine 4.0 Anordnung mit zwei Lautsprechern vorn und zwei Lautsprechern hinten, ohne Subwoofer und ohne Centerspeaker. Einen Centerspeaker wollte der Bauherr schlicht und einfach nicht. Bei so hochwertigen Lautsprechern, die z.B. eine Stimme selbst schon perfekt zwischen den Lautsprechern abbilden können, ist ein selbiger aber auch nicht zwingend erforderlich. Auf den Subwoofer wurde verzichtet, weil die Hauptlautsprecher schon ausreichend Tiefgang im Raum erzeugen und weil nicht absolute Spitzenpegel gefordert waren.
