Adventure, feathers and boho themed products come together beautifully to create a baby boy’s room different than your standard nursery. I was on a tight budget and most of the items where sourced second hand, handmade or relatively cheap. The end result is fun and the mountains reflect my Canadian heritage which I hope our baby boy will enjoy. Photos by Crib creative
Interior Design CambridgeThis kids bedroom was designed to be a multi-functional space. The bedroom’s size was relatively large so our job was to divide the room into three zones. One was for play, one was to sleep and the final was a reading corner. Lily is an avid reader so the reading corner was a must. We built a custom bookshelf for her to relax and read in with floor cushions. We had an artist come in to paint a mural and had a camping space set up for her to use as a play area. As she grows up, the cot can be extended into a child’s small bed, a larger bed and even a bunk bed in the future!
Kim Tasker Interiors LtdLeopold's parents wanted to create a bright jungle inspired space for him to sleep and play. We painted the lower half of the room green complete with mountain peaks, the upper half off white creating an illusion of a higher ceiling and a neutral backdrop to a bold jungle mural. As well as specifying furniture and accessories to work with items already owned by the client, I also created a space plan that can be adapted easily as Leopold grows!
