dRemodelingThe Dura Supreme double vanity is painted in a bold but neutral gray. A tall central storage tower in the middle allows for extra storage and allowing the countertops to be free of clutter.

Our client came to us with a vision for their family dream house that offered adequate space and a lot of character. They were drawn to the traditional form and contemporary feel of a Modern Farmhouse.
MCHUGH SOLUTION:
In showing multiple options at the schematic stage, the client approved a traditional L shaped porch with simple barn-like columns. The entry foyer is simple in it's two-story volume and it's mono-chromatic (white & black) finishes. The living space which includes a kitchen & dining area - is an open floor plan, allowing natural light to fill the space.

Cathie Hong InteriorsThis 1956 John Calder Mackay home had been poorly renovated in years past. We kept the 1400 sqft footprint of the home, but re-oriented and re-imagined the bland white kitchen to a midcentury olive green kitchen that opened up the sight lines to the wall of glass facing the rear yard. We chose materials that felt authentic and appropriate for the house: handmade glazed ceramics, bricks inspired by the California coast, natural white oaks heavy in grain, and honed marbles in complementary hues to the earth tones we peppered throughout the hard and soft finishes. This project was featured in the Wall Street Journal in April 2022.
Ability RemodelingFarmhouse chic is a delightful balance of design styles that creates a countryside, stress-free, yet contemporary atmosphere. It's much warmer and more uplifting than minimalism. ... Contemporary farmhouse style coordinates clean lines, multiple layers of texture, neutral paint colors and natural finishes. We leveraged the open floor plan to keep this space nice and open while still having defined living areas. The soft tones are consistent throughout the house to help keep the continuity and allow for pops of color or texture to make each room special.
Distinctive Interior DesignsWe divided 1 oddly planned bathroom into 2 whole baths to make this family of four SO happy! Mom even got her own special bathroom so she doesn't have to share with hubby and the 2 small boys any more.
TVL Creative Ltd.This project was not only full of many bathrooms but also many different aesthetics. The goals were fourfold, create a new master suite, update the basement bath, add a new powder bath and my favorite, make them all completely different aesthetics.
Primary Bath-This was originally a small 60SF full bath sandwiched in between closets and walls of built-in cabinetry that blossomed into a 130SF, five-piece primary suite. This room was to be focused on a transitional aesthetic that would be adorned with Calcutta gold marble, gold fixtures and matte black geometric tile arrangements.
Powder Bath-A new addition to the home leans more on the traditional side of the transitional movement using moody blues and greens accented with brass. A fun play was the asymmetry of the 3-light sconce brings the aesthetic more to the modern side of transitional. My favorite element in the space, however, is the green, pink black and white deco tile on the floor whose colors are reflected in the details of the Australian wallpaper.
Hall Bath-Looking to touch on the home's 70's roots, we went for a mid-mod fresh update. Black Calcutta floors, linear-stacked porcelain tile, mixed woods and strong black and white accents. The green tile may be the star but the matte white ribbed tiles in the shower and behind the vanity are the true unsung heroes.
Fireclay TileThis shower steals the show in our crisp blue Ogee Drops. White subway and Min Star & Cross tile encompass the rest of the bathroom creating a space that is swimming with style!
