Kay Cosby InteriorsThis client felt lost as far as design and selection. She'd already received my counsel regarding refinishing and the color of her kitchen cabinets. When she reached out to me again to assist with organizing her home and suggesting a few new pieces I was elated. A majority of the project consisted of relocating existing furniture and accessories as well as purging items that didn't work well with the design style. The guest room was transformed when we painted a lovely green color over the orange walls. The room that saw the most change was the dining room as it got all new furniture, a rug and wall color. S. Mazzi InteriorsThe "before" of this project was an all-out turquoise, 80's style bathroom that was cramped and needed a lot of help. The client wanted a clean, calming bathroom that made full use of the limited space. The apartment was in a prewar building, so we sought to preserve the building's rich history while creating a sleek and modern design.
To open up the space, we switched out an old tub and replaced it with a claw foot tub, then took out the vanity and put in a pedestal sink, making up for the lost storage with a medicine cabinet. Marble subway tiles, brass details, and contrasting black floor tiles add to the industrial charm, creating a chic but clean palette.
Landmark HomesThis spacious 2-story home includes a 2-car garage with mudroom entry, a welcoming front porch, and designer details throughout including 9’ ceilings on the first floor and wide door and window trim and baseboard. A dramatic 2-story ceiling in the Foyer makes a grand impression upon entering the home. Hardwood flooring in the Foyer extends to the adjacent Dining Room with tray ceiling and elegant craftsman style wainscoting.
The Great Room, adorned with a cozy fireplace with floor to ceiling stone surround, opens to both the Kitchen and Breakfast Nook. Sliding glass doors off of the Breakfast Nook provide access to the deck and backyard. The open Kitchen boasts granite countertops with tile backsplash, a raised breakfast bar counter, large crown molding on the cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, and hardwood flooring. Also on the first floor is a convenient Study with coffered ceiling detail.
The 2nd floor boast all 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, a convenient laundry area, and a large Rec Room.
The Owner’s Suite with tray ceiling and window bump out includes an oversized closet and a private bath with 5’ tile shower, freestanding tub, and a double bowl vanity with cultured marble top.
