S. Mazzi InteriorsThe "before" of this project was an all-out turquoise, 80's style bathroom that was cramped and needed a lot of help. The client wanted a clean, calming bathroom that made full use of the limited space. The apartment was in a prewar building, so we sought to preserve the building's rich history while creating a sleek and modern design.
To open up the space, we switched out an old tub and replaced it with a claw foot tub, then took out the vanity and put in a pedestal sink, making up for the lost storage with a medicine cabinet. Marble subway tiles, brass details, and contrasting black floor tiles add to the industrial charm, creating a chic but clean palette.
Kaplan Architects, AIAOur client purchased an apartment on the top floor of an old 1930’s building with expansive views of the San Francisco Bay from the palace of Fine Arts, Golden Gate Bridge, to Alcatraz Island. The existing apartment retained some of the original detailing and the owner wished to enhance and build on the existing traditional themes that existed there. We reconfigured the apartment to add another bedroom, relocated the kitchen, and remodeled the remaining spaces.
The design included moving the kitchen to free up space to add an additional bedroom. We also did the interior design and detailing for the two existing bathrooms. The master bath was reconfigured entirely.
We detailed and guided the selection of all of the fixtures, finishes and lighting design for a complete and integrated interior design of all of the spaces.
Direct Home Remodeling, Inc.This massive double shower with natural wood seat, Ceramic hexagon flooring and newly added windows overlooking the ocean not only gives our clients an additional ocean view but a beautiful view from inside there bathroom as well. Accompanied by a new bidet and wood paneling on the wall. This look is one of our favorite remodels.
UserSlate tiles in warm brown, gold and coppery red tones cover the walls in a small guest shower. A glass mosaic feature strip in similar colors breaks up the diagonal pattern of the field tile. Satin nickel shower fittings complete the look.
