Studio AgeliThese are large houses at 775 sqm each comprising: 7 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, including 2 rooms with walk-in cupboards (the master suite also incorporates a lounge); fully fitted Leicht kitchen and pantry; 3 reception rooms; dining room; lift, stair, study and gym within a communal area; staff and security guard bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and a laundry; as well as external areas for parking and front and rear gardens.
The concept was to create a grand and open feeling home with an immediate connection from entrance to garden, whilst maintaining a sense of privacy and retreat. The family want to be able to relax or to entertain comfortably. Our brief for the interior was to create a modern but classic feeling home and we have responded with a simple palette of soft colours and natural materials – often with a twist on a traditional theme.
Our design was very much inspired by the Arts & Crafts movement. The new houses blend in with the surroundings but stand out in terms of quality. Facades are predominantly buff facing brick with embedded niches. Deep blue engineering brick quoins highlight the building’s edges and soldier courses highlight window heads. Aluminium windows are powder-coated to match the facade and limestone cills underscore openings and cap the chimney. Gables are rendered off-white and patterned in relief and the dark blue clay tiled roof is striking. Overall, the impression of the house is bold but soft, clean and well proportioned, intimate and elegant despite its size.

Stylecraft StairwaysA modern floating stair sits in the entryway to this home. The American Ash treads have been stained dark and create a nice contrast with the home's fresh palette and artworks. A frameless glass balustrade completes the look.
Smithwood Builders Inc.With two teen daughters, a one bathroom house isn’t going to cut it. In order to keep the peace, our clients tore down an existing house in Richmond, BC to build a dream home suitable for a growing family. The plan. To keep the business on the main floor, complete with gym and media room, and have the bedrooms on the upper floor to retreat to for moments of tranquility. Designed in an Arts and Crafts manner, the home’s facade and interior impeccably flow together. Most of the rooms have craftsman style custom millwork designed for continuity. The highlight of the main floor is the dining room with a ridge skylight where ship-lap and exposed beams are used as finishing touches. Large windows were installed throughout to maximize light and two covered outdoor patios built for extra square footage. The kitchen overlooks the great room and comes with a separate wok kitchen. You can never have too many kitchens! The upper floor was designed with a Jack and Jill bathroom for the girls and a fourth bedroom with en-suite for one of them to move to when the need presents itself. Mom and dad thought things through and kept their master bedroom and en-suite on the opposite side of the floor. With such a well thought out floor plan, this home is sure to please for years to come.

Парадная лестница – одно из сложнейших изделий в нашей практике, в котором соединились совершенно разные по характеру материалы: массив дерева и шпон (макассар и клен), металл и стекло. Лестница была установлена на мраморных ступенях, поэтому сначала выполнялся металлический каркас, который затем облицовывался декоративными деревянными панелями.
Все деревянные элементы парадной лестницы вручную покрыты 100% глянцевым лаком в 6 слоев и отполированы до зеркального блеска.
Перила и колонны декорированы вставками из нержавеющей стали и стекла толщиной 12 мм с флоральным рисунком глубиной 3-4 мм. Эффектная встроенная подсветка холодного тона подчеркивает не только каждую деталь изображений, но и создает контраст теплому колориту дерева.

Atelier 3DANous avons choisi de dessiner les bureaux à l’image du magazine Beaux-Arts : un support neutre sur une trame contemporaine, un espace modulable dont le contenu change mensuellement.
Les cadres au mur sont des pages blanches dans lesquelles des œuvres peuvent prendre place. Pour les mettre en valeur, nous avons choisi un blanc chaud dans l’intégralité des bureaux, afin de créer un espace clair et lumineux.
La rampe d’escalier devait contraster avec le chêne déjà présent au sol, que nous avons prolongé à la verticale sur les murs pour que le visiteur lève la tête et que sont regard soit attiré par les œuvres exposées.
Une belle entrée, majestueuse, nous sommes dans le volume respirant de l’accueil. Nous sommes chez « Les Beaux-Arts Magazine ».
