Change of SceneI styled this home for sale and it received multiple offers its first day on the market. In addition to culling and rearranging the furniture, I brought in plants and accessories to add interest and pop.

JayJeffersThis getaway for a busy globe-trotting family is close to home for me. It is in beautiful Saint Helena, California, where I have a home myself (See Napa Valley Redux). The clients’ direction was for a more modern aesthetic than the traditional style the architecture might have dictated. We painted the exterior and interior neutral dark hues and filled it with comfortable furniture for entertaining, hanging out and family dinners.

WITHIN HOMECentral to the Tetbury collection is the sumptuous Marlborough sofa – we love it because it manages to be both elegant and also superbly comfortable. This traditional style sofa is handmade in the UK using non-tropical hardwood and is available in a dove grey coloured cotton/linen mix (pictured) and a luxurious heritage green coloured 100 per cent wool. Generously sized and beautifully upholstered, the Marlborough sofa can easily sit three people. A Marlborough armchair and two seater sofa are also available.
