株式会社参創ハウテック「建替え前の雰囲気を残したい」という建て主様の要望により、懐かしさを感じる和の趣を現代風にアレンジした和モダンのデザインに。床はカバ材に燻煙加工を施したヴィンテージ仕様で自然な凹凸感が心地よい。リビングとつながる小上がりの和室には掘り炬燵を設置し、庭を眺めながらゆったりと寛げます。
Woodhouse and LawOur client’s wonderful art collection was the inspiration for this scheme. We wanted to provide a backdrop for their bold, contemporary art and Asian furniture that was sympathetic to the period of the house and classic architectural features. We used a combination of black american walnut, with aged and antique brass and neutral linens on sofas. This provided a rich and warm backdrop for punchy and fresh accent colours. The richer hues come to life in the evening and look wonderful as the colder nights set in too. Lighting was also key to the success of this scheme and we took time to tailor a lighting and electrical layout which incorporated new and existing AV equipment.
Dennisbilt Fine Cabinetry & DesignA smaller display unit was made for the homeowner's reading/book area where they can relax in a comfy chair overlooking the condo's view of Kansas City.

Arturo Palombo ArchitectureView from the summer kitchen to the living area of the Family room. The original barn beam structure was re-introduced and is well defined through the use of light colored wall and ceiling elements. Our collaboration with Papyrus Home Design was a big part of the success of this project.
