Woodhouse and LawWe commissioned by a musician and her family to design the interiors of their country house. The design team worked in collaboration with the client and her husband throughout the programme of works, which included the addition of a contemporary glass extension to a period building. The house is nestled within the Somerset countryside and large expanses of glass help connect the house to the landscape beyond. The design team took material and colour references from the surroundings, including the large natural timber dining table and the forest green accent colours that feature throughout the property. The result is a great combination of intimate rooms and spacious, light filled spaces in which to live, socialise and be creative.

Tilson HomesThe Breckenridge is the perfect home for families, providing space and functionality. With 2,856 sq. ft. of living space and an attached two car garage, The Breckenridge has something to offer everyone. The kitchen is equipped with an oversized island with eating bar and flows into the family room with cathedral ceilings. The luxurious master suite is complete with dual walk-in closets, an oversized custom shower, and a soaking tub. The home also includes a built in desk area adjacent to the two additional bedrooms. The nearby study can easily be converted into a fourth bedroom. This home is also available with a finished upstairs bonus space.
Bean InteriorsThis formal Living Room was inspired by the Sussex Downs, countryside and artists. The ribbed detailing which runs throughout this room, from the shutters, to the handmade rug, central feature chandelier, the feature mirror, table lamp and fireplace tiles, all inspired by the doric columns and regency architecture of Brighton & Hove.
Kimball Starr Interior DesignSan Francisco loft contemporary living room, which mixes a mid-century modern sofa with Moroccan influences in a patterned ottoman used as a coffee table, and teardrop-shaped brass pendant lamps. Full height gold curtains filter sunlight into the space and a yellow and green patterned rug anchors the living area in front of a wall-mounted TV over a mid-century sideboard used as media storage.
Marlene Oliphant Designs LLCThis redesigned family room was relieved of cumbersome tv cabinetry in favor of a flatscreen over the fireplace. The fireplace was tiled in pastel strip tiles Firecrystals replaced the old logs. This is a favorite gathering place for both family and friends. Photos by Harry Chamberlain.
