Archadeck of Akron OHFor the patio cover, we designed a roof with a stunning open-gable end. We used tongue and groove pine for the ceiling and wrapped all of the beams in cedar and posts in AZEK. If you look closely, you can see the steps we built for the doorway leading into the home. We used low-maintenance AZEK for the steps, an extremely durable material perfect for any high-traffic area. Also, bringing indoor comforts outdoors, we installed recessed can lights in the ceiling as well as everyone’s favorite, the ceiling fan.
Archadeck of Northeast DallasFor their patio floor, the homeowners selected an ashlar slate stamp and silver mist for the stain color. For the concrete release, which adds a subtle second color to the surface, they chose charcoal gray. The effect is luscious.

Inside, the pool house is ready for entertaining. Raymond and Jennifer poured the concrete counter top themselves.
The paneling on the front of the bar came from a large cupcake counter at a friend's antique store. When her friend was closing the store, Jennifer and Raymond dismantled the counter and salvaged the painted doors, which they then cut to size as needed.
Antique stools reflect the patina of the bar in an effortlessly charming way. "I found them at the Columbus Country Living Fair," Jennifer explains. "They came from an old Amusement Park; I'm not sure which one, but I kept everything original to them."

Carrie Hayward DesignThe pendant light, found on Chairish, is a nod to the patio’s previous Moroccan incarnation. We spruced up the vintage Cosco utility cart with spray paint in my favorite shades.

Archadeck of Central South CarolinaThe interior of the covered patio/porch is easy on the eyes and will require little maintenance on the homeowners’ part. The interior ceiling is low-maintenance white aluminum. We added three ceiling fans to help cool the space on hot summer days. Archadeck also outfitted the porch with a TV mount so the homeowners can enjoy movies and sports outdoors.
