Breathe Design Studio
Our Austin studio decided to go bold with this project by ensuring that each space had a unique identity in the Mid-Century Modern style bathroom, butler's pantry, and mudroom. We covered the bathroom walls and flooring with stylish beige and yellow tile that was cleverly installed to look like two different patterns. The mint cabinet and pink vanity reflect the mid-century color palette. The stylish knobs and fittings add an extra splash of fun to the bathroom.
The butler's pantry is located right behind the kitchen and serves multiple functions like storage, a study area, and a bar. We went with a moody blue color for the cabinets and included a raw wood open shelf to give depth and warmth to the space. We went with some gorgeous artistic tiles that create a bold, intriguing look in the space.
In the mudroom, we used siding materials to create a shiplap effect to create warmth and texture – a homage to the classic Mid-Century Modern design. We used the same blue from the butler's pantry to create a cohesive effect. The large mint cabinets add a lighter touch to the space.

The front entry door of this 1849 colonial was in very bad shape when the homeowners asked us to build them a new pair. We used Mahogany and matched all the existing profiles to get a replica door that matches the original door. The only difference being that the bottle glass was omitted.

The customer originally asked me to assess whether the proch could be repaired. Unfortunately I declined as so much of the existing timber was soft. I was asked to cost replaceing the timber units and on completion a door was requested to compliment the project.

The entry to this "Modern Farmhouse with a Coastal Feel" shows the elements in the geometric shaped windows and nautical style wall lanterns set against the stained v-groove board ceiling and to the walls and millwork washed in white.

Architecturally significant 1930's art deco jewel designed by noted architect Hervey Clark, whose projects include the War Memorial in the Presidio, the US Consulate in Japan, and several buildings on the Stanford campus. Situated on just over 3 acres with 4,435 sq. ft. of living space, this elegant gated property offers privacy, expansive views of Ross Valley, Mt Tam, and the bay. Other features include deco period details, inlaid hardwood floors, dramatic pool, and a large partially covered deck that offers true indoor/outdoor living.
Red House Remodeling
Some people remodel their kitchen, some remodel their master bath and some people do both and then some. These homeowners were ready to invest heavily in their home with a complete home remodel including kitchen, family room, powder room, laundry room, stairs, master bath and all flooring and mill work on the second floor plus many window replacements. While such an extensive remodel is more budget intense, it also gives the home a fresh, updated look at once. Enjoy this complete home transformation!
