greencube garden and landscape design
We have used limestone paving, laid in random pattern, london stock brick and a pretty pink planting palette.
A garden for a retired couple who love to potter. We refer to this garden as 'pretty in pink'. A garden with three seating zones, raised planters and easy management of borders. The garden features sage coloured fence and arches and yellow stock brick throughout.

Yorkshire Gardens
In this traditional garden we wanted to give the space a revamp while still ensuring it was in keeping with it’s classic, rural surroundings. You are welcomed into the garden through a charming pergola wrapped in vining plants. Square stepping stones create a winding path across the gently curving lawn, this is surrounded by elegant flower beds.
The sweeping flower beds mimic the shape of the rounded walls and the smooth lines draw your eyes around the garden. The raised sleeper bed is home to bountiful selection of greenery and adds both texture and rustic charm. As this area is sheltered it was planted with variety of ferns and heucheras which thrive in shaded areas.
In the large flower bed a stunning rose garden was planted with a selection of handpicked, hybrid tea roses. A bird bath and feeder not only creates a focal point, but also encourages wildlife into the garden.
The raised flower beds and steps lead down to a stone patio. This sits beneath a traditional veranda so the garden can be enjoyed in all weather. A picturesque chimenea allows the patio becomes and extension of the home as it can be enjoyed late into the summer evenings.
The garden is surrounded by a beautiful stone wall which adds privacy. Climbing ivy creates a charming backdrop for the blooming flowers to standout against. The result is a traditional, but quaint garden.
Twisted Rock Terrascape & Design, Inc.
With a fairly severe back to front slope and a concrete swale that was set at the back of property we simply pushed the patio grade out and constructed a retaining wall within the bylaws to allow for the rear yard setbacks. A great and functional solution!!

Garden Makeover Using Millboard in Harefield
This garden had been used until it couldn’t really be used anymore. The pine decking was falling apart and really wasn’t safe. The clients called Karl in to help make the garden a usable space that could be enjoyed again.
Starting by clearing the garden which took 3 eight-yard skips. The team then used an excavator to define the elevation differences. Now the team had space to build a new deck. The client chose Millboard Limed Oak decking because they liked the colour and natural texture. The step on this deck also has a hidden LED strip routed into the underside of the board. This is controlled via a remote that also controls the water feature and various garden spotlights.
The team also installed a new fake lawn so George the tortoise has a space to wander around that is separate from the decking area.
The clients keep a range of animals in their garden including some rabbits and guinea pigs that dwell in hutches. To help make these hutches more a part of the garden the team moved them to the back left corner. The client used Cranesbill purple geraniums and Athyrium Ferns to help disguise the area.
Maximize Design
This garden can be quite windy, so the patio was installed about 20cm lower than the lawn area.
The cedar batten extension to the boundary walls also helps to keep the harshest winds out.
