Purple Cherry ArchitectsIn the great room, special attention was paid to the ceiling detail, where square box beams “picture frame” painted wooden planks, creating interest and subtle contrast. A custom built-in flanks the right side of the fireplace and includes a television cabinet as well as wood storage.

Clients brief was to create a modern stylish games room using a predominantly grey colour scheme. I designed a bespoke feature wall for the games room. I created an abstract panelled wall in a contrasting grey colour to add interest and depth to the space. I then specified a pool table with grey felt to enhance the interior scheme.
Contemporary lighting was added. Other items included herringbone floor, made to order interior door with circular detailing and remote controlled custom blinds.
The herringbone floor and statement lighting give this home a modern edge, whilst its use of neutral colours ensures it is inviting and timeless.

Wendi Gee InteriorsTransitional living room with a bold blue sectional and a black and white bold rug. Modern swivel chairs give this otherwise traditional room a modern feel. Black wall was painted in Tricorn Black by Sherwin Williams to hide the TV from standing out. Library Lights give this room a traditional feel with cabinets with beautiful molding.
White Sands Coastal DevelopmentWe remodeled this 5,400-square foot, 3-story home on ’s Second Street to give it a more current feel, with cleaner lines and textures. The result is more and less Old World Europe, which is exactly what we were going for. We worked with much of the client’s existing furniture, which has a southern flavor, compliments of its former South Carolina home. This was an additional challenge, because we had to integrate a variety of influences in an intentional and cohesive way.
We painted nearly every surface white in the 5-bed, 6-bath home, and added light-colored window treatments, which brightened and opened the space. Additionally, we replaced all the light fixtures for a more integrated aesthetic. Well-selected accessories help pull the space together, infusing a consistent sense of peace and comfort.
Leslie MeyersA favorite family gathering space, this cozy room provides a warm red brick fireplace surround, bead board bookcases and beam ceiling detail.
DIDA HomeWe incorporated a rocking chair so our client could nurse her newborn baby. We brought a large fiddle fig leaf plant to bring a pop of color and contrast with the airy tones of the house.

Russell Hirshon PhotographyCoastal Estate in St. Michael's Maryland on the Chesapeake Bay. House was designed after the original 1770's house on the property. Home was designed to be a formal house but was now being used as a weekend retreat. Ann Kenkel had to decorate the house in a manner which was coastal enough so owner's felt like they were on vacation yet formal enough for the style of the house.
AK found the house filled with wallpaper from the 1980's. Wallpaper from every room was removed and all trim had to be painted a neutral color.
The formal dining room only had one entry. AK opened up a second entry into the dining room which provided a view of the Chesapeake Bay.
