納谷建築設計事務所小田急・狛江駅近郊に、築３1年におよぶ鉄骨ALCの分譲マンションがあります。
その一室を賃貸マンションとして、再生すべく最低限のリノベーションを施すこととなりました。当時の間取りは３DK、DKを除く３室が和室でした。家族構成や生活スタイルが変わり、住空間も変化を要求されます。オーナーの要望は、なるべく若い人に提供したいとのことでした。
間取りの基本的な考えは、ワンルームのように広く使え、スペースの場所によってプライバシーのヒエラルキーがつけられればと考えました。しかし、プライバシーの高い順序でただスペースを並べたのでは、個々の空間が自立あるいは孤立しすぎると思いました。
もっとルーズに曖昧に柔らかく、そしてさりげなく引き離し、つなぎ止めたい。
そこで、与えられた空間全体に新しい生活を受止めるように、２８mm厚のダグラスファーを手のひらで包み込むように貼りあげ、包み込まれたスペースの中央にこの住戸への（社会へのあるいは社会からの）アプローチを延ばし、2分された両側の空間を干渉しあう領域をつくりました。マンションの一室という性格上、扉一枚で社会へとつながりますが、この領域は、住戸内の空間を２分し曖昧に干渉させると同時に扉の向こうの社会との接点でもあります。つまり、社会と住戸（個人）をつなぐ架橋でもあるのです。
２分された空間の片側はオープンなLDK、もう片側は、寝室・トイレ・浴室などのプライバシーの高いスペースです。片側の空間からは曖昧なアプローチ領域を通してもう片方の空間の気配を感じ取ることができます。曖昧な領域は、時には閉じたり開いたり、両側の空間と必要に応じて解放性・閉鎖性を変化させます。連続したり、遮断したり、少しだけ開いたりして・・・。
こうして組上げられた住戸がどこまで時代の流れについていけるかわかりませんが、借手の生活スタイルや使い勝手に緩やかに変化できれば、少しだけ時代の変化に長く対応できるのでは、と考えます。そして現在起こっている無数のリノベーションの在り方の答の一つになればと思います。
Versa Style DesignThe client wanted a classic living room design but with an edge. The black painted brick on the fireplace wall creates that edge. The lines of this living room are clean but there is a wonderful blending of modern and traditional style in this space. We integrated the client’s antiques: three tables, a grandfather clock, her newly painted red cabinet, her armchairs which were previously brown and now covered with a gorgeous paisley fabric, and her marble lamp with an elegant new black shade. To this we added modern elements to create a fresh and timeless style.
Materials used:
Armchairs re-upholstered in a classic grey paisley fabric, modern grey ivory and taupe area rug, black and white and grey Sherwin Williams paint, antique marble lamp with a new black shade, refurbished oak hardwood floors in a rich walnut tone, Sofa fabric is grey microfiber, antique grandfather clock, leather and chrome armchairs, upholstered tufted ottoman, burled wood end tables.

キャンプ用品や山の道具をしまう土間がほしい。
お気に入りの場所は軒が深めのつながるウッドデッキ。
南側には沢山干せるサンルームとスロップシンク。
ロフトと勾配天井のリビングを繋げて遊び心を。
４．５畳の和室もちょっと休憩するのに丁度いい。
家族みんなで動線を考え、快適な間取りに。
沢山の理想を詰め込み、たったひとつ建築計画を考えました。
そして、家族の想いがまたひとつカタチになりました。

Eliza Manners LondonThis midcentury chair had the fabric changed to give it a new lease of life, The colour had enough pink to go with the carpet and walls, but enough green to give an extra touch to the room.
Beacham ArchitectsThe existing property was a Victorian Abrahams First Floor Apartment with 2 bedrooms.
The proposal includes a loft extension with two bedrooms and a shower room, a rear first floor roof terrace and a full refurbishment and fit-out.
Our role was for a full architectural services including planning, tender, construction oversight. We collaborated with specialist joiners for the interior design during construction.
The client wanted to do something special at the property, and the design for the living space manages that by creating a double height space with the eaves space above that would otherwise be dead-space or used for storage.
The kitchen is linked to the new terrace and garden as well as the living space creating a great flor to the apartment.
The master bedroom looks over the living space with shutters so it can also be closed off.
The old elements such as the double height chimney breast and the new elements such as the staircase and mezzanine contrast to give more gravitas to the original features.
株式会社 エムロード環境造形研究所3本引きの大きな障子と木製ガラス戸とが一気に全面開放でき、芝生の庭と繋がれることが特徴となった若い家族のためのローコスト住宅である。和室スペースは玄関隣に配置されているため「客間」として独立させることができ、開放すればLDKの一部としてより広いLDKの要素となる。
