Hebron LandscapeThis project involved the design and installation of natural stone steps for the owner to gain access from the lake home to the shoreline. The use of natural stone was used, not only to maintain a natural aesthetic, but also to comply with local lake shore ordinances.

Bianchi DesignKirk Bianchi created the design for this residential resort next to a desert preserve. The overhang of the homes patio suggested a pool with a sweeping curve shape. Kirk positioned a raised vanishing edge pool to work with the ascending terrain and to also capture the reflections of the scenery behind. The fire pit and bbq areas are situated to capture the best views of the superstition mountains, framed by the architectural pergola that creates a window to the vista beyond. A raised glass tile spa, capturing the colors of the desert context, serves as a jewel and centerpiece for the outdoor living space.
Van Zelst IncSweeps of purple stachys, red bee balm, white shasta daisy, yellow black-eyed susan and green sedum are tidy yet casual.
Dig Your Garden Landscape DesignBesides offering seating for several visitors, the Sonoma fieldstone and blue stone curved bench in the upper paatio also serves as a retaining wall. And softened by the colorful plantings on the slope above. Northwest Native Landscapes LLCA tight outdoor space was transformed into a natural backyard oasis. The multi-tiered deck leads onto a natural flagstone pathway with paver edging. The path opens into a circular fire pit tucked into the edge of the garden, enclosed with purple-leafed redbud trees and anchored with a mature fig tree. Dry stacked stone creates the curved bench, which also retains the elevated garden bed that wraps the fire circle. The natural cedar fence encloses the space and the custom gate becomes a garden feature of its own with a stained glass window.
Native Sun GardensThis is taken in Berkeley, CA and features diamondia and manzanita groundcovers. Both drought tolerant and low-maintenance.
