South Florida Design | House PlansThis 1 story 4,346sf coastal house plan features 5 bedrooms, 5.5 baths and a 3 car garage. Its design includes a stemwall foundation, 8″ CMU block exterior walls, flat concrete roof tile and a stucco finish. Amenities include a welcoming entry, open floor plan, luxurious master bedroom suite and a study. The island kitchen includes a large walk-in pantry and wet bar. The outdoor living space features a fireplace and a summer kitchen.
Fruitful HomesBRIEF FOR THIS PROJECT WAS TO BRING BACK THE PROPERTY’S CHARM, MODERNISE AND GET IT READY FOR SALE. FOR THE OWNERS, THE DAMAGE LEFT BY TENANTS WAS HARD TO SEE PAST.
ON FIRST VIEWING WE ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE ORIGINAL FEATURES OF THIS HOME. THE FRONT PORCH COLUMNS, THE UNIQUE DETAILED CEILING ROSES IN EVERY ROOM, THE ORIGINAL WOOD FIRE STOVE. ALL OF WHICH FUELED OUR INSPIRATION FOR THE ENTIRE RENOVATION.
WE WORKED FROM FRONT TO BACK AND CREATED WHAT WE FEEL HAS MAINTAINED THE RETRO APPEAL OF THE PROPERTY BUT BROUGHT IT IN TO THE 21ST CENTURY.
OPEN london ArchitectureSensitive two storey contemporary rear extension with dark timber cladding to first floor to visually break up the mass of the proposal and soften the scheme, whilst taking reference from the nearby historic cottages and other examples of weatherboard cladding found in the area.
