In this room we have Stevensons cornice, ceiling floral enrichment and panelling.

Curved 2nd floor landing adds an architectural touch to the living room on one side and the entry on the other. Expansive windows showcase the lake.frontage.

Simply Home DecoratingOur clients on this project, a busy young North Vancouver family, requested that we incorporate some important inherited family heirloom pieces into their spaces while keeping to an otherwise modern aesthetic. In order to successfully mix furniture of different styles and periods we kept the wood tones and colour palette consistent, working primarily with walnut and charcoal greys and accenting with bright orange for a bit of fun. The mix of an heirloom walnut dining table with some mid-century dining chairs, a Nelson bubble light fixture, and a few nature inspired pieces like the tree stump tables, make for a finished space that is indeed very modern. Originally built in the late 1970's, this Century City home has a lovely vintage style which we retained while streamlining and updating. The lovely bold bones created an architectural dream canvas to which we created a new open space plan that could easily entertain high profile guests and family alike.

Summer Thornton Design, IncDespite the stark white color of this sofa, it's low profile and relaxed style invites nothing short of lounging. A braided rug and low, light wood coffee table add to the casual, California vibe. A pair of leather swivel chairs and a mid-century console bring in some rich earth tones. A dark, albiet not heavy light fixture draws the eyes up and adds an element of drama to the room. Patterned throw pillows break up the white sofa and pull in the palette from the rest of the home.

Regan Baker Design Inc.Hired mid demolition, Regan Baker Design Inc. partnered with the first-time home owners and construction team to help bring this two-bedroom two-bath condo some classic casual character. Cabinetry design, finish selection, furniture and accessories were all designed and implemented within a 6-month period. To add interest in the living room RBD added white oak paneling with a v-groove to the ceiling and clad the fireplace in a terra cotta tile. The space is completed with a Burning Man inspired painting made for the client by her sister!
