Stalburg DesignThis mantle (and surround) was created by a local woodsmith and artist with wood reclaimed from a Detroit Fire Station in Downtown Detroit Michigan. Each piece is numbered and registered, giving a little bit of love and history along the way for its new home! With some acid wash on the brick and clean attention to detail, this classic fireplace is restored.

Woodland Road DesignThis Mercury Row fixture, from Wayfair (Byrd 3-light flush mount) adds rustic glam to the den, which also features a reclaimed wood wall. I love the way the brass contrasts with the seeded glass. It is gorgeous with vintage bulbs!

Windhill BuildersThis Winchester home was love at first sight for this young family of four. The layout lacked function, had no master suite to speak of, an antiquated kitchen, non-existent connection to the outdoor living space and an absentee mud room… yes, true love. Windhill Builders to the rescue! Design and build a sanctuary that accommodates the daily, sometimes chaotic lifestyle of a busy family that provides practical function, exceptional finishes and pure comfort. We think the photos tell the story of this happy ending. Feast your eyes on the kitchen with its crisp, clean finishes and black accents that carry throughout the home. The Imperial Danby Honed Marble countertops, floating shelves, contrasting island painted in Benjamin Moore Timberwolfe add drama to this beautiful space. Flow around the kitchen, cozy family room, coffee & wine station, pantry, and work space all invite and connect you to the magnificent outdoor living room complete with gilded iron statement fixture. It’s irresistible! The master suite indulges with its dreamy slumber shades of grey, walk-in closet perfect for a princess and a glorious bath to wash away the day. Once an absentee mudroom, now steals the show with its black built-ins, gold leaf pendant lighting and unique cement tile. The picture-book New England front porch, adorned with rocking chairs provides the classic setting for ‘summering’ with a glass of cold lemonade.

Alair Homes ArlingtonAddition off the side of a typical mid-century post-WWII colonial, including master suite with master bath expansion, first floor family room addition, a complete basement remodel with the addition of new bedroom suite for an AuPair. The clients realized it was more cost effective to do an addition over paying for outside child care for their growing family. Additionally, we helped the clients address some serious drainage issues that were causing settling issues in the home.
Gail Barley Interiors, LLCA totally redesigned fireplace fits in perfectly with the new aesthetic of the home. Tall drapes and valances draw the eye to the high ceilings. An oversized chandelier is a bright pop of gold and works as a statement piece.

Remodeling ConsultantsThis large sun room / family room was part of an addition to a lovely home in Westport, CT we remodeled. White French doors open the room to newly renovated composite deck and another matching set opens the room to the rest of the home. While beautiful white trim and crown molding outline the room and the tall windows. The room is finished off with recessed lighting, light colored walls, dark hardwood floors and a large ceiling fan. A perfect room for relaxation!
