LORRAINE G VALE, Allied ASIDIn this combination living room/ family room, form vs function is at it's best.. Formal enough to host a cocktail party, and comfortable enough to host a football game. The wrap around sectional accommodates 5-6 people and the oversized ottoman has room enough for everyone to put their feet up! The high back, stylized wing chair offers comfort and a lamp for reading. Decorative accessories are placed in the custom built bookcases freeing table top space for drinks, books, etc. Magazines and current reading are neatly placed in the rattan tray for easy access. The overall neutral color palette is punctuated by soft shades of blue around the room.

Love Your Room LLCThis beautiful family wanted to update their dated family room to be a more glamorous bright inviting room. We removed a corner fireplace that was never used, and designed a custom large built in with room storage, a television, and lots of bookcase shelves for styling with precious decor. We incorporated unique picture molding wall treatment with inverted corners. We brought in a new custom oversized rug, and custom furniture. The room opens to the kitchen, so we incorporated a few pieces in there as well. Lots of reflective chrome and crystal!

The room is accented by black architectural glazing and door trim. The second floor landing/balcony, with glass railing, provides a great view of the two story book-matched marble ribbon fireplace.

The flanking cabinets are 9' tall each, and are made of wenge veneer with dimmable LED backlighting behind frosted glass panels. a 6' tall person is at eye level with the bottom of the TV, which features a Sony 750 watt sound bar and wireless sub-woofer. WL Kitchen & HomeUsing a similar mahogany stain for the entire interior, the incorporation of various detailed elements such as the crown moldings and brackets allows for the space to truly speak for itself. Centered around the inclusion of a coffered ceiling, the similar style and tone of all of these elements helps create a strong sense of cohesion within the entire interior.
