Plain & PoshThis large kitchen was desperately needing a refresh. It was far to traditional for the homeowners taste. Additionally, there was no direct path to the dining room as you needed to enter through a butlers pantry. I opened up two doorways into the kitchen from the dining room, which allowed natural light to flow in. The former butlers pantry was then sealed up and became part of the formerly to small pantry. The homeowners now have a 13' long walk through pantry, accessible from both the new bar area and the kitchen.
Sustainable KitchensShaker kitchen cabinets painted in Farrow & Ball Hague blue with antique brass knobs, pulls and catches. The worktop is Arabescato Corcia Marble. A wall of tall cabinets feature a double larder, double integrated oven and integrated fridge/freezer. A shaker double ceramic sink with polished nickel mixer tap and a Quooker boiling water tap sit in the perimeter run of cabinets with a Bert & May Majadas tile splash back topped off with a floating oak shelf. An induction hob sits on the island with three hanging pendant lights. Two moulded dark blue bar stools provide seating at the overhang worktop breakfast bar. The flooring is dark oak parquet.

Trimcraft of Fort Myers, Inc.The eat-in kitchen of this Sanibel Island home is one of many millwork projects completed by Trimcraft during an extensive renovation. We collaborated with the interior decorator and then developed a design plan for new custom cabinetry that was built in our shop. Complete with glass doors on upper cabinets (with feature lighting), a built-in china cabinet, pantry roll out cabinets, cabinet front appliances and lots of storage space.

Beautiful Habitat: Design & DecorationThe existing kitchen was completely remodeled to create a compact chef's kitchen. The client is a true chef, who teaches cooking classes, and we were able to get a professional grade kitchen in an 11x7 footprint!
The new island creates adequate prep space. The bookcases on the front add a ton of storage and interesting display in an otherwise useless walkway.
The South wall is the exposed brick original to the 1900's home. To compliment the brick, we chose a warm nutmeg stain in cherry cabinets.
The countertops are a durable quartz that look like marble but are sturdy enough for this work horse kitchen.
The retro pendants are oversized to add a lot of interest in this small space.

This scullery functions as a pantry, storage area, baking counter and supplement to the butler's pantry. The beautiful brass accents look fantastic with the black cabinetry, white subway tile and quartz counter-tops!

We removed the wall between the dining room and the kitchen. They did a flat ceiling in the kitchen but did not want to go through the expense or “mess” to scrape the rest of the ceilings on the main floor so we put in the false/decorative beam to split the areas.
The false beam and floating shelves were custom made by Leroy. The false beam was not required but it separated the ceiling textures.
