Denise Quade DesignA built in desk was designed for this corner. File drawers, a skinny pencil drawer, and lots of writing surface makes the tiny desk very functional. Sea grass cabinets with phantom green suede granite countertops pair together nicely and feel appropriate in this old farmhouse.
Studio 76 Kitchens and BathsAn existing laundry area and an existing office, which had become a “catch all” space, were combined with the goal of creating a beautiful, functional, larger mudroom / laundry room!
Several concepts were considered, but this design best met the client’s needs.
Finishes and textures complete the design providing the room with warmth and character. The dark grey adds contrast to the natural wood-tile plank floor and coordinate with the wood shelves and bench. A beautiful semi-flush decorative ceiling light fixture with a gold finish was added to coordinate with the cabinet hardware and faucet. A simple square undulated backsplash tile and white countertop lighten the space. All were brought together with a unifying wallcovering. The result is a bright, updated, beautiful and spacious room that is inviting and extremely functional.

Cabinet-S-TopIn this laundry room, Medallion Providence Reverse Raised with Chai Latte Classic Painted Finish with Cambria Portrush quartz countertops. The backsplash is Emser 3x8 Passion Gloss Azul Tile and the tile on the floor is Emser 9x9 Design Mural Tile. The hardware on the cabinets is Top Knobs Hillmont pull in flat black.

Changing swinging doors to pocket, stacking laundry units, and doing closed cabinetry options really made the space seem as though it doubled.
UserThis mudroom/laundry area was dark and disorganized. We created some much needed storage, stacked the laundry to provide more space, and a seating area for this busy family. The random hexagon tile pattern on the floor was created using 3 different shades of the same tile. We really love finding ways to use standard materials in new and fun ways that heighten the design and make things look custom. We did the same with the floor tile in the front entry, creating a basket-weave/plaid look with a combination of tile colours and sizes. A geometric light fixture and some fun wall hooks finish the space.

Dresner Design | Chicago Custom Kitchens CabinetsThe clients purchased the home and immediately renovated it before moving in. It was a Gut rehab- down to the studs with some minor drywall left. Dresner Design tore the ceilings out to expose beams and replaced the structure. The kitchen is light and bright with sliders that open to a beautiful patio. A central island with waterfall edge anchors the space with three large pendants over the island. The original space was an “L” shaped layout. New 6” oak flooring was used throughout the home. The owners have a very eclectic art collection that was integrated into their new home.
